Yay!
Can you make a video on how to convert any AutoCad 3D drawing into G-Code??
Heard that before!
How much would this cost total
That's requires a long explaination - perhaps we can cover this in an upcoming episode.
Great question! We'll think over some alternatives and get back to you.
wow 7 years later and this looks like a primative tool
i;m surprised he didn't use a 3d printer to make a 3d printer like making the cnc episode
he did at 13:14 minutes into the video
Jeri Ellsworth is one hell of a girl and a brilliant electronics design engineer. She's gone pretty quiet on the internet the past couple of years, well on RUclips and Facebook anyway.
The thing is, i am actually trying to make a 3D printer, but i have no idea where you got some parts. What kind of ramp shield did you use? Where did you get all those small other bits?
nice job Ben
please can you tell me where to put stop ends?
So if I just happen to have my own CNC machine, and already own a 3D printer, know how to use God knows how much software, I can make my own 3D printer (even though I already own one !)
Ben can you please show what tricks you have for the coding of the arduino and what type if any specific parts such as stepper motors you used so we can do this too
i got the idea for a storage system for my ps3 games. only having an old gateway tower i gutted, some christmas lights and an old lexmark printer scanner copier that no longer worked i disassembled the thing and made the glass plate into a sliding door that sits in the computer tower and i ran the lights through where the power supply used to be. now i have my own lighted ps3 storage case. thanks for the inspiration ben now i have a place to put my ps3 games thats not all over the floor.
Can someone give me an estimate on how much this'd cost to do, on average? And how much could it potentially be if it were smaller (about 4x4x4 in build volume), and all shortcuts and cheaper alternatives were used? I'm very interested in making it, but I'm a poor, Raman eating, ride mooching, college student.
@monkeybird69 im no Ben heck but maybe you can use infra red led to light your self up (use many infra red led's for a better experience) [infra led's are only noticed by digital cameras so its light does not affect protectors but cameras can "see" the item] {pls reply for help}
can you build sony a better camera for the PS3? I use a projector for my gaming and have to have the lights low in order to play but the camera cant see me when i play move games like "kung fu live" please help!
sincerely,
a fan who lives in wisconsin
AKA Randy
@jungleboyuk
kip kay stopped his show, good thing about his show was the things r easier to make
but still tbhs is better because of its animations, background music, tougher and more intresting projects
For the flat pieces, you could print the designs with a regular paper printer, glue or tape them onto the material, and cut out parts by hand. For the couplers, I've seen people use flexible tubing that gets clamped onto the shafts.
get 3 identical printers for stepper motors, some good measurement tools, new materials, and a plan. it won't be easy but it will be worth it. " i think there are places online that will print parts for a fair price.
Hey, I was wondering if you could spare a little time and just review a project we(our robotics team) is trying to do? If you would, please check out our video.
Any input ro ideas would be greatly appreciated!!!
Didn't you know? God uses various face types for various personality traits. It saved him a bunch of time when he was designing his 'The Universe' project.
Ben and Gabe share the Innovation in technology face type.
lol of course you could just cut the pieces by hand! use a band saw / jigsaw / scroll saw! (or even a coping saw!) and you could even use a very wide hose clamp or something similar for the Z-axis
Ben love your show its awesome but could you tell me were you get your sintra or "sheet plastic" so i can use my cnc router on the only sites i found are charging 100bucks for a 1/8" inch foot by foot
What type of material is the black sheet material you routed to make the parts?
DaGleese, I have thought this for a long time. Maybe not facial features matching skills or talents, but at least a finite amount of combinations of faces and details
Ben, you mentioned glue gun. I also thought of using a glue gun as an extruder. Can you hack one in one of your episodes and turn it into a plastic extruder?
Thanks.
dear ben or one of his minions , can you show us how to use / mod / hack (heck style) a lcd contoller board like the ones njytouch sell , thanks
Every Show Gets Crazier & Crazier, Please Stop When It Comes To Making Your Own Doomsday Nympho Fem-bots, Who's Only Weakness Are Living Cells.
Wonder how long it'll take the porn industry to get ahold of a 3D Printer....
gosh i love this guy , he is so pleasant revision did a really good job of finding and promoting talents , like film riot variant comics or ben thx for that.
I wish I didn't need a CNC machine and a 3D printer in order to make the 3D printer. Any workarounds for those steps?
Does the pololu shield come with the stepper motor controllers already on it or do you have to buy them separately?
Hello
anyone know where i can find the build files for his design? they are not on thingieverse or in his site
hello Ben. why did not you try to build an minato engine is very simple you need some magnets and mumetals.
Wow I received a notification for this? MakerBot make these and How much would you charge for one?
simply use wood its easy to work with and can be crafted with non-computer aided machines easily
I've been doing projects like these for years... WHY DID I NOT FIND THIS SOONER??!!
He is GABE number 4, 1 of the many different versions my secret government facility makes.
Fraser, There is no confusion on my part!
Subscribers often talk with people who put up content.
There is no commercial gain by replying to me. That's the real issue.
Ben you are the cheesiest person in the world but i love watching these, keep it up!
hay Ben can you make a book shelf were the shelfs move around in a circle or oval
my school made me go the set up day so i couldnt see any of this kickass stuff...
no idea on designs but what about a psp netbook with a usb port for a controller
How did you connect the 2 steppermotors on the Z as? series or in parallel???
which programs does he use to create 2d/3d? it looked like adobe photoshop..
He said it does, but if you find one online you can check the picture
You can buy the 3d printed parts for most reprap designs on ebay.
You are really great ben , my love from kurdistan-iraq for you.
I am a little baffled that Leo doesn't talk about Rev3 at all.
whats the clear sheet of material ben is using? is it acrylic?
lol so you used a 3d printer to make one
Is it possible to replace the arduino with a raspberry pi?
I hope this process quickly so I can watch it on my iPod.
Heck Ben, Wasn't that all a bit too fussy with the scanner?
What Genesis game is that sitting on your desk Ben???
@Xnaron It's PVC I think... I'm not sure thought :S
He looks like a cross between Conan and David Cameron.
can you send me a 3d diagram for an xbox 360 slim case
Seriously, he must be the smartest guy in the world lol
Life is a tad easier when you have a CNC machine :P
i saw the 3d printer at the maker faire in detroit
So like the perusa i3
A good day when I see a new Ben upload. Sweeeet.
How much did it cost to make the entire printer.
The Ben Heck Show should get a Roku channel.
this would be awesome for custom gundam models.
Lol'd at the Work shed reference
anyone got a link to the shield that he uses in this episode?
Mega Drive/Genesis cart on his desk at 5:30.
hey ben how tobuild a psvita
Make this into a kit please.
They could always hire you on your website.
how did you do your computer screen setup
please stop the music i want to hear you
can it 'print' a 3D form of letter 'C'?
This is one of my favorite rev3 shows.
"Nothing can stop me now"
I wish I was as smart as Ben Heck :(
@TheKidaTech I would like to see this!
New subscriber! So mad I didn't know about this before! Dedicating an entire week to review all your vids!
Thanks!

The node knows.
use some plastic and a hacksaw
nice job with the genesis cart
super hot glue gun..
How much did you spend on it?
can you make me one please
Seems like you make every thing can you push your limts for a 3d house pinter that builds an actual house you can live in, not a model
someone has already done that
watching ben has made me start designing and building my own CNC router from scratch. :D
viss du kan lese ditta er du smart!
How much did this cost?
i agree! jbweld = win!
how do you build r2d2
can i have it plz
