I gotta admit, the trailer was a LOT better than what I was expecting and 2023 is gonna be an insane year for the videogame industry when the Mario movie comes out!
Also yes I accidentally said that the Penguin came from NSMB Wii while forgetting Super Mario 64. My apologies as trust me when that feeling when you get too excited happens, your common sense area begins to shut off which can happen sometimes 😂
And yes I was loud in this video but at the same time, if you haven’t seen my previous Nintendo/wrestling/vlogs/livestream reaction videos, I tend to be loud as that is part of my personality. Some like it some don’t but that’s okay as I’m happy to see so many people watching this video! I hope you’re excited for the movie 👍👍👍❤️😄

This almost looks like a Pixar film. That’s how good the animation looks.
I don't think it looks like a Pixar film, but what does surprise me is that it doesn't look like an ILLUMINATION film. They have a very specific way they design their characters, and they completely step outside of that for this movie, and if there was no indication that they were working on this film I would have no idea it was them

I'd even say it looks better than the last few Pixar films. (Excluding Toy Story 4.) Illumination has always been fast turn around and low budget but have had the talent to still look decent alongside much more expensive CG films, now Nintendo as a partner essentially forced them to slow down and spend more. This is what their A-game looks like and it's beautiful!

Nous échangions la manette avec mes parents pour voir qui irait le plus loin... Pouvoir travailler 30 ans plus tard sur un tel projet, sous le regard bienveillant de Monsieur Miyamoto était un honneur et un rêve devenu réalité. Le moment le plus émouvant sera sans doute quand j’emmènerais mes parents au cinéma pour voir le film. On se rappellera ces moments passés à jouer à Mario chacun notre tour dans les années 90. La boucle sera bouclée !

Chris Pratt as Mario = It's gonna take some time getting use to.
Charlie Day as Luigi = Gotta hear some dialogue from this one but it still got potential.
Keegan-Michael Key as Toad = Thankfully not annoying.
Kevin Michael Richardson as Kamek = Glad Kevin didn't speak in his normal voice because it would be to deep for Kamek.
Jack Black as Bowser = I have no words... Like Jack Black is known for starring in comedy films and heck he even voice Po the Panda but he actually fits well as Bowser.
Now the question is will the other actors like Seth Rogen as D.K. sound great? Guess we're gonna have to wait and see.

I mean, Mario is a character whose voice is really hard to mimic, have in mind that he has only used around 30 lines of dialogue in the span of all the games there are, wich are like 30 years.
It sounds like they were aiming for the old cartoons rather than the games, especially if you listen to Charlie’s other works. He didn’t talk a lot in the trailer but I’m guessing he has some kind of Boston accent

@@forkliftman3240 Brooklyn, actually. A lot of the early lore for Mario had him being a plumber from Brooklyn before the franchise went full Mushroom Kingdom focused instead of anything the Mario Bros. did before getting there.

This is how I feel every time with reactions. They are WAAAAY too hyper, even I would be more calm. To them it's like the greatest animation they've ever seen, like the 1990s kids about the 16 bit 32 bit graphics of the PS1 and Sega Genesis/Super Nintendo (Super Famicom). For me, it's pretty standard considering they may have used the beta version of Unreal Engine 5 to pull this off, or use 3DSMax/Maya (May-Yuh) to create the models, textures, worlds, mappers, etc. Although it is starting to get to the point where we may hit uncanny valley by the end of this decade, and having the debate of what we see on screen is digitized or real. That's something I would be intrigued to find out. Although I feel like this film should be based off of the NES/Famicom games and not really the Wii/Wii-U/Switch ones, that's just me.

The Penguin Race makes me intrigued and excited to see what other kingdoms Bowser will invade next, and what other races we'll see! Really looking forward to when we'll see and hear Peach, Donkey Kong, Cranky Kong, and Foreman Spike for the first time (also looking forward to hearing Charlie Day's Luigi speak full lines).
