I do this with every book i get (novel, bible, or notebook). Its part of the routine now. I do the back pages and the front pages together and work my way into the middle. 😊 I like splitting every single gilted page too. Very satisfying!
My lineup is similar. Her A5 to stay on my desk, the weeks size for my purse, and the A6 for my work backpack. I will probably duplicate much of the info in each (which is a process I really enjoy), but each book will have a different and consistent color scheme and aesthetic (something else I really enjoy). Her planners and designs are just absolutely gorgeous. I’ve got my fountain pens, inks, tombow markers, washi tapes, stickers and watercolors picked out for each planner. It’s so funny how much joy this hobby brings me!! Hope you really enjoy yours and can’t wait to see how you set them all up.
You are so right - this hobby, both planning and fountain pens, bring so much joy! As for the planners - I've just finished filming the setup video and I cannot wait to share!
I have the B6 common planner for 2024 and am loving it! I got the gold edge as well in the mist (blue). I love the vertical layout but change my layout to something similar to a dashboard- I love the flexibility of it. And there stickers are gorgeous
Hi Karyna, i really would love to have their B6 common planner! Karyna i love your month tabs and i love the way your month stickers look. i'd like to purchase a couple of sets but i don't see them on your site. i hope that you'll be making more. i am subscribed to your newsletter! Happy Spring! ~kari in Victoria, BC
So glad you received your planners! I'm going with Sterling Ink next year also - both the A5 and the Weeks size. For work I'm trying out the Take A Note. Can't wait to see the setup video.
This is my second year in a Sterling Ink journal. I use a B6, and purchased the Carmel/gold B6 and a Mist/white weeks. Yesterday I bought the 5Year in Dark green/gold. Last year was my first experience with Hobonichi and I used a weeks and a Day free for work. I watch you and Helen from Thecoffeemonsterzco and I did purchase a 2023 A5 Hobonichi on clearance ($25) to use to swatch ink and write out my favorite book passages this year. Thanks for the inspiration and the unboxing. I love that you are so excited with your purchases.
I love her packaging and the detail she takes to look over every single one. I forgot to order this year so put my order in when they had their ready to ship. I only got the A5 this year to try out. Mine should be arriving today.
Love your planner lineup. I used a sterling ink B6 planner for this year and really liked it. However for next year, I have 3 different brands that I'll be using. I got a hobonichi weeks for my on the go planner. A Midori Hibino 2 page per day daily planner for journaling and memory keeping. My last planner is an A6 take a note weekly planner for hourly planning.
It's amazing how long orders can take within a specific state. When I order from Atlas or anywhere that has to go through Chicago, it seems to do a whole tour of Chicago before leaving!
I used (am using) a full year B6 common planner and will be using the Half Year B6 common planner for 2024 in the mist color way. The B6 size, day free pages and the Sanzen paper, made it so that I'll be in this every year she makes it. As someone who has used fountain pens exclusively for over a decade, the paper was number 1 on my list of important features. Next was the size. A5 size was too big and A6 was too small, which was why I couldn't stay with Hobonichi. Personal wide rings are also too heavy to be an every day carry for me.
I love this! Just a small note about the leathers (or fake leathers): the Mist and Caramel would be considered pebble(d) leather (if they were real leather), and the Quartz would be considered Saffiano leather (if it were real leather) because of the cross-hatching. At least with leather, the pebbled leather and saffiano are supposed to be much more durable and resistant to scratches than a leather without any texture (like Coach's glovetanned leather, or a vegetable-tanned leather or even Galen's crazy horse leather). I got the Quartz Sterling Ink Common Planner in B6 (though I'm regretting that now, watching your A5 and how it has more space), so fingers crossed it holds up well like Saffiano leather!
Congrats on getting your common planners in!! I ordered a TN1 and passport too but in the horizontal. I got the B6 in the vertical though. I believe the A5 & B6 only come with vertical weekly’s. I’m so excited to set mine up! I’ll have to try that trick in priming the binding into getting them to lay flat. Are you planning on getting the 5 year diary too when you finish your hobonichi one?
@@KarynaLovesToPlan Oh yess! 3 years is plenty of time to still work through your Hobonichi 5yr. I got the Midori Hibino 2pg daily - 1 yr for now because my ocd wants to wait til 2026 for a 5 yr diary so I can finish it in 2040 lol so it’ll be evenly timed working through years that end with 1-5 and 6-0.
Karyna, okay I guess I need to spend more money, lol…can you please now do even smaller stickers in your store for my passport? My order came yesterday, I love all of my planners too! They are gorgeous!❤🎉
I love your line up! I was anxiously waiting for this video! All the colors are so beautiful too! The pink one reminds me of saffiano leather, but the blue mist is so unique and I love it!😍 I'll be honest the hobonichi avec colors are so ugly 😂 I had such a hard time choosing between hobonichi and sterling ink this year. Ultimately, my nerves got the better of me and I went for something I'm comfy with. Gosh, the sterling ink planners are too gorgeous!!! I can't wait to see how you decorate these!
Aww, thanks Paris! The leathers are gorgeous and you are right - Hobonichi Cousin covers are meant to be covered by something else beautiful, instead of the yellow and blue that they currently have!
@@KarynaLovesToPlan You’re welcome! Short hair looks lovely on you! I went short after having long hair for so many years and I’ve been loving the short hair since. Sometimes I miss long hair because it covers your neck when it’s cold lol but that’s nothing a soft muffler or scarf can’t take care of!

Oooh that's good! Great way to break them in!
I adore the stamp business card! It’s one of my favorites!
Beautiful. Love them. Can see why you're so happy.
They are! I cannot wait to set them up and use them!

Yes the Rose Quartz has more of a light burlap, love them all. Do you have any passport size planning videos?
I do not but I should do an update soon!

Thank you for sharing, Karin! I have to admit Helen of TCMC was my influence for starting with the Hobonichi as well!

Glad you were still able to get your planner! Catherine is great about preorders and having availability for ready to ship!
Yay thank you so much for this comprehensive video!
AHHH Thanks Job! Fan girling a bit that you're commenting!

I've been really intrigued by that Midori Hibino 2 page per day planner - how fun! Thanks for sharing!
I switchwd from Hobonichi weeks to SI weeks for 2024. The trackers and goal planning in hers got me.
I do like those quarterly trackers! And the different covers - I may leave mine without a clear cover because I love the texture!
I just got my order, as well! Watching it bounce around New Jersey for two weeks added excitement. ;)

Yes paper makes a huge difference! And with Sterling Ink offering so many sizes, I can see why so many have switched!
I have so many archer and olive notebooks, I don't know ic I would use a common planner. I am still trying to decide.
Use what works for you!

I have been binge watching your videos. I looooove them and I love your nails in each video. Do you do them yourself?
Thank you! I go to my local nail salon to get them done!

These definitely would not work for me, but I'm happy you found something that works for you.
This is the great thing about planners - there are so many out there that there should be a brand that works for you!

Yes the N2 is the Weeks size!
Tell me about those fountain pens!
Well spotted! The top one is from SilverBurl Pens (I did an unboxing video last week I think) and the other is the Leonardo MZG 2.0 in Angel Skin.
I was just about to ask what kind of pen is that pink one?!!
@@KarynaLovesToPlan I just checked out your previous reviews. I'm hooked. New subscriber.
