    Nearly a year since I began my DAS. I have ridden a few different bikes albeit my Honda CB600S still plenty, (for me), to be getting on with & learn from.
    I may have been intimidated if 1st bike was an R1250 GSA. Fair play to rider for getting post test training.
    Thanks for sharing & for client/rider to agree to same.

    I never fail to learn or re-learn something every time I watch one of your videos Phil, and by watching and listening to them I have cured some lazy riding habits that I had developed over the years. Thank you 👍

    Lots to learn when you pass your test, but the more time in the saddle it all starts to come into place and becomes natural and more enjoyable. Watching your vids keeps me refreshed and re valuate how i ride, being disciplined and being more technical with my riding adds another dimension, cheers phil for your continued tuition

    Really felt for the rider in front of you. Adds a bit of nervousness having you follow lol Great video. Shame you're not near where I live as I'd booked some sessions. Thanks again

    I passed my Mod 2 about two months ago, and I’ve been riding (Honda NT700) almost every day. First few times it wasn’t that fun, I have to admit. But what really helped me was visiting my mother in hospital twice a day for a couple of weeks. Doing the same route every day really helps you to assess your ability and performance, and to chart your progress. It also builds confidence because you get to know the route so well. I highly recommend it.

      Not for me everyone....but I quite like the NT700...must have a ride on one sometime.

      @@AW8UK has a horrible reputation but it’s been kind and gentle with me, giving me a very enjoyable first taste of big bikes. It has all the power I need (as a beginner rider!) yet is easy and forgiving. Also extremely comfortable and cheap to run. I love it.

    I've just passed my test myself and would love to do something like this. I've seen you have mentioned emailing you in some other comments but I can't seem to find an email address.

    Hi is it OK to cover your front brake or should I just grip the throttle?

    • @MotorcyclePWR
      @MotorcyclePWR  2 года назад +1

      @greg humphries Hi Greg, thank you for your question. When i was younger i always covered the front brake as i thought it would help me brake quicker. However, we teach these days not to. The reasons are:
      1/ you may not be able to control the throttle as well as when you wrap all your fingers around it,
      2/ If you apply the brake in panic and your fingers are already on the lever you are likely to grab it and then you could lose front end grip
      3/ With (2) , also if you dont close the throttle, you will have the rear end pushing forward and the front end trying to stop, which is not a good dynamic
      So with good observations and even in an emergency, front brake application should always be controlled. Therefore keeping fingers on the brake doesnt really have any benefits of stopping more quickly vs not covering the brake lever.
      I hope this helps, all the best
