An incredible structure, like a giant R2-D2. My uncle used to take me here when I was a kid as a treat. Given the number of times I've been there I really ought to know much more about it than I do, tho'; I can name a few star constellations and that's about it! It was really exciting when they moved the dome or the entire structure on its feet, like it had a mind of it's own! The landscape is beautiful, too
+BikeRookie no without is just bright making the ground dark, sometimes you get the odd glare but very bright that day, should have had ND32 on. the best nd filter is the ND4 for general use as even works well in the dark.. But remember any ND filter will reduce depth of field and blur movement so not good for a distant shot as gives a haze

Did you get any compass errors or signal loss because of the telescope?

yes lots of compass errors or signal loss so be ready for it. but hope all goes well and look forward in seeing your trip

That is a cool place . I see u have this glare in the lens when using the ND filter. Did this also show up without the ND filter ?
