May I ask about 16 months study in Australia, is it have to be the same occupation we are applying? Or it can be anything we studied?

    Hi Tracy
    Really informative content!
If I completed my final 3 years of schooling (10,11,12 grade), will that count for Australian study requirements or the regional study points?
    Thank you 😊

Hi Traci, I got the skill assessment from Engineers Australia for the occupation 313214 Telecommunications Technical Officer or Technologist. Am I able to apply for the EOI using this skill assessment for the other 2 occupations, that are closely-related and are in the same ANZSCO Unit Group, such as 313212 Telecommunications Field Engineer and 313213 Telecommunications Network Planner?

Really enjoyed your presentation & explaining methods.
I am confused about - whether a Clinical Doctor having 14 international Research publications can be POSITIVELY assessed in Skill Assessment for University Lecturer (242111). The position he worked overseas was not that same but he had to take classes of medical students indeed.
    Thank you .

  •  Год назад +7

The expiration of skills assessment given you're working in the same skilled work is simply a waste of time for both parties. The same with English if you work in Australia right? I know I get dumber with the pass of time, but not to that extent.

Hi Trace, I've heard from many individuals invited for the 189 visa that even if they haven't claimed points for work experience, they are still being asked to provide evidence of their work history. Why is that? I thought if I haven't claimed points for work experience, I should leave that section blank when completing the application form. Am I correct? Or should I provide information about work experience even if it's not directly related to my occupation?

Since 2005, Australia has been adding a million people every two and a half to three years - equivalent to a new city the size of Canberra every year.
During the pandemic (2020 to 2022) population growth slowed due to the closure of international borders. Now, however, pressure is coming from the business lobby to ramp up immigration again, to even higher levels than before the pandemic.
Continual, unending population growth in Australia is ecologically unsustainable. Sustainable Population Australia (SPA) believes it is time to rethink the Big Australia vision that is driving this growth. We must work towards a sustainable, inclusive, and equitable society not premised on unending growth.

👆Just to point out one MISTAKE Traci, PY expires after 48 months FROM THE DATE OF COMPLETION NOT DATE OF COMMENCEMENT. Here is official text from Aus Immigration Website. " * Where a Professional Year program was completed, meaning finished, within the 48 month period prior to the time of invitation, you may be awarded 5 points. To avoid any doubt, you could have commenced the Professional Year at a time before the 48 months prior to invitation. The time you “completed” a Professional Year is the date listed on your official Record of Completion which is issued by the authorised body or Professional Year program delivery partner. "
