- Jerry goes through the finer points and materials selection for tying the Skinny Hoh, the slimmer cousin of the Dirty Hoh, named after the Hoh River. The Skinny Hoh is a great summer steelhead and bull trout fly, and can be used for just about any aggressive fish. Watch for Jerry's signature composite loop, which he uses to create robust, complex and beautiful shoulders on many of his flies. Wonderful fly . Well worth the time to watch. Most tyers want to just rush through the tie but if you take the time to straighten the fibers as you have shown you get a more transparent fly. Great job and really enjoyed the hour with you 🎣🤠. Thanks from Kansas city.
Outstanding work! Jerry your fundamentals and concept of tying is inspirational. Thanks for sharing your talent with all of us. I enjoyed everything I've seen so far...
Couldn't have said it better. These guys tools, materials, and methods revolutionized the way I fish.
Hi, great fly! I do love your style. I think it would take some time to get a handle on it but I have plenty of time. You do have a style I've not seen before. Congratulations on your creativity. All the best, Sean
Awesome hook settings! You are genius!!
Great fly!!! Hi from Kansas City 🎣🤠 Dave Hughes, I've been making lures for a good long time. I'm always amazed how the fish react to the different lures and try to figure out why. One
Works better than the other. You put on the fly and nothing happens for a while, then All the sudden it starts working. Could it be the smell of the fly has washed off?? City water has fluoride in it and a whole lot of other stuff. I'm using distilled water or rain water to get the feathers lay down. Fish can taste a few hundred times better than us. It works!!! Good luck if any of you want to try this put a glass of each at the same temperature to the test .
Well done. I will be trying this pattern this fall.

Very nice! thanks for the detail in the finer points...so if you use all of the UV stuff do you change how much flash/foil type stuff you weave in?
Wow! I actually have all but one of the materials on my bench. That never happens.
Awesome!
