This method of teaching is the best. Ive been playing for years and have never hit my irons so solid and far. Thank you Shaun. It has taken me a little while to fully understand the swing but now the game of golf is actually enjoyable again. And i have a clear mindset of how im swinging !
Yesterday watched it live- perfect. It proofs, your theories and teachings work in real life. Last doubt has been vaporized. Even on such huge distances she looked very much in control with that high draw compared to the rest
Watching you I’ve became probably the longest hitter at my club. Used to be 50 yards short of hole 9 289 to back I’m clearing the back and putting it 20 yards past into the woods if I use driver. I’m literally out driving old good driver distance with a 5 wood. Getting better with scoring too 18 yesterday 70. Best score I’ve had only played for 3 years. That’s with having 2 gaps in my bag I need to get a new 3 wood and a I have a gap in wedges have a 44 then 52 56 60 need that 48 and wouldn’t doubt I’d be in the 60s
You guys are unreal!! All 3 of you! I remember when Sav broke over 100mph club head and I was amazed then, moo is scary with 206 ball speed. Shawn you all three are inspirational 💪🏻
@@golflessons I love it, I would love to been able to go to your day lesson at Clermont! I am going to follow your daughter and Moo's career that's really exciting stuff!
Something that’s helped me is when I do get behind the ball I do regroup the club to feel the height of the face by hand height on the club. I’ll give myself another look at my target and intermediate target, and only swing thought I’ve had has been get through the ball to the target. I’m still a little ball oriented but I’m also having target and flight in mind
Shawn, can you please comment on your swing trigger, where you raise your right heel prior to starting the backswing. I’m looking at trying something similar. Love all your instruction. Greetings from Down Under.
Great video as ever Shawn !! And well done Sav…..I turned in and watched her compete from over here in the UK and looking forward to both of them smashing in next event!!
Shawn another great vid - I (your Videos) have been helping my 110 LB son and he is up to 224 yards. Question for a fade - besides the change in set up to the left of the intermediate point is there any changes to the release pattern
There is no interference or manual adjustments to the release pattern; because the ball is slightly more forward, and the alignment is left of the end target and the mind is seing a fade, then the release will feel like it happened a fraction later
Shawn, love the video, my nemesis is "holding off" and not releasing (a control thing), but can you explain the difference between a proper release and a roll-over? I'm afraid if I really "release" the club, I'll duck hook it left...Thanks in advance!
This is one of the most MISUNDERSTOOD aspects in golf and golf instruction is making a big fat mess of it; The “roll over” at the ball will hook; the “roll over” towards the target will yield accurate and powerful shots! If the ball is the target then you are in a Chaotic Hell.
Shawn, great video! But even better is the look of obvious delight/pride on your face when you talk about the progress Sav & Mu have made. Keep it coming!😎
Great, confident unwind in your method.. Preprogram baseball swing. Allow space to swing.. Whack, straight ball or fade or draw depending on the face orientation. I’m at 86% fairway at around 245y/56 years old male. Thank you. Irons next.
You just described the “Human kinetic chain” 😀👍 But the order is from the lead leg into the ground and then up the chain through the core, arms, wrists, hands and club head-face.
The drill of laying my left hand on top and swinging the sword with the right hand was a total game changer to me. I am constantly fighting the release.
@@golflessons I came out of the gate wearing True's when they launched around 2011-2012. I've tried other thru the years but have always returned to TrueLinksWear. Their customer support is spot on. I loved this video, by the way. As a premium member all I can say to non-members is JUMP ONBOARD!!
Hi Shawn, is it okay to sit a little more and butt out? I feel my hips blocking me a little, but I feel more stable. If, on the other hand, my legs are straighter and more flexible, the swing could unbalance me and for me it means throwing strong and tense balls that go low to the left, especially with the driver. My big problem and factor of some instability in having a fairly repetitive game. Thanks
Shawn, I’ve watched your videos for years, DVDs, done the drills, and I only get shorter and shorter. Where does the power come from? I know it works for Sav, and Mu, and you (to a lesser extent), but where do I get more power in what you teach? I’m missing something. Thanks.
You need to either do a swing analysis with me or a 1-1 online lesson for me to see what you are doing; so many interpretations and pre-conceived motions I need to contend with!
@@golflessons thanks Shawn. Watching a lot of your newest videos today, I’m clearly not turning enough and getting my back to the target so I can “fall” into my front foot. Any videos you can recall that help drill in a full, unencumbered backswing? Seems scary. Thanks. Keep up the great work!
I'm age 65 and have been working on this for about a week. Yep, the 20-yard minimum gain is REAL. I've been at scratch or close for the last 20 years. I'm giddy about gaining ACCURATE yardage at this age!
Doesn't matter how many times I watch Shawn's swing I still can't figure out how he gets back to the ball so well and can hit a draw... On camera down the line the club path looks so far left... I'd literally dump the club into the floor if I tried to copy it...😂 I'd like to see it in super slow motion so I can see what his angles and dynamics are...
It is simply my anatomy when I throw a club in the direction I want to start the ball and the swing is an arc btw and after impact the club comes back around the arc to the left by itself. See “throw the club straight shawn clement” video; an oldie but sweet goodie!
@@Crankyracing29 it’s after a good release, the anticipation of “how close is this going to be” that is the fun of golf! Hey, you get a birdie try man, it’s like the perfect flick off the finger tips on a free throw and it goes in but hits a part of the rim and is not the perfect swoosh…you still showed up and delivered and made the shot!

does this release happen automatically? Or do we need to consciously "open and close" the club face? Thanks Shawn!
You want to ALLOW THE WEIGHT OF THE CLUB TO RELEASE YOU in the direction you want to start the ball.

Do you hit the ball right at the back?
Or a bit inside
Depends on the shot! See “how to match backswing to target shawn clement”
Thanks Shawn. I just saw the video and it's very clear
With the palm up and releasing late won’t it leave the club wide open? Where is the right palm at impact?

I’ve never cut through a bamboo shoot
Just make a swing mimicking the action and feel what gravity does to your arm and wrist; a golf club upside down does the job amazingly well.
I bet I could make it fallible 😆
I had to rewatch since my comment got a like 😁
