    Newbie here and tried your principles at the range today:
    1. Working towards distant target, and not just ball.
    2. More relaxed back swing and trail elbow.
    3. More committed follow through.
    Still working on stuff but flow feels better.

    I just have to comment although I'm only :45s into the video. I haven't watch one of your videos for about a year, but one thing that caught my eye, right off the bat, was when Sav took her stance and then completed the swing. Last year she would take her stance and then bump her right hip forward a few inches, giving her body more tilt and looking more aggressive. Now, she doesn't bump the hip out, and I find she looks a lot more relaxed and natural. The swing looks smoother. I think her swing looks great. Just an observation. Now on to the rest of the video.

    Started golfing a year ago, signed up for premium channel so I could beat my friends, this is a great addition. Funny though you mention the frisbee as I am working primarily toward pro disc golf and the top distance throwers in disc golf throw 200+ yards using these same techniques. Though I struggle to apply them in both sports your videos continue to give me micro-breakthroughs as I untangle muscle memory so to speak.

    • @golflessons

      YES!! Micro breakthroughs is what it is all about and those will lead to big breakthroughs in your benchmark shots and that is the tide that raises all ships in regards to your good misses! STAY THE COURSE!! You throw darts at the bull’s eye an hour a day, 2 weeks later you are 15% more accurate! Find your task-throw in golf and make that your dart throw and keep delivering through the ball and IP into your flight plans and good stuff will continue to happen. Peaks and Valleys of course…

I copied it and can feel tremendous energy buildup… but I’ve never seen anyone swing like this. With 360 yard drives, it’s gotta be doing some good 😅 Just curious of the science behind it

    Great video. Early on when Sav turned away from target with the practice swing and you stopped her and recognized the turn in backswing and talked about free wheeling…this is big for me that I’ve noticed…it is easier to do this without a ball and sometimes my backswing is restricted and too armsy when the ball is there. I noticed this felt different between practice swing and with ball, and when I fix this and turn more (free wheel) and replicate the practice swing when it’s time to go through the ball, it makes a huge difference for the better…in multiple ways.
    I’ve also noticed that when I don’t “free wheel” and I restrict the backswing (maybe too armsy) with my wedges, this can cause the “h” rocket, or “s@$nk”

      @golflessons  Год назад +1

      Hey Micki! It is called the Human Kinetic chain and when engaged, it comes from the ground up from the legs and feet and then through the core and through arms and club; the arms are in a supporting role so your percentage of arms is pretty spot on; if you look at our “kinetic chain series” and “kinetic chain facilitation and engagement series” you will really appreciate this incredible reflex action based on self preservation we have; like the tail of a scorpion!

      @golflessons  Год назад

      You establish a FLIGHT PLAN, like a pilot, “the ball will start on the right edge of the left bunker and rise twice the height of the tree line and fall behind the bunker onto the flag”. If the ball stays straight, I am in the middle of the green, if it draws to the flag we have a better chance at birdie. Then your swing delivers it’s action with momentum to the right of the bunker and the set up does the rest. See “why you are not comfortable over your ball shawn clement”

It seems as though my kinetic chain for grass cutting is different to my kinetic chain for throwing the club at the target. • @golflessons
      @golflessons  Год назад

      Stick with throw to the target and PREDICT THE GRASS IS IN THE WAY BEFORE YOU THROW; SO YOU CAN STAY WITH THE FOCUS OF THE THROW.
