If "Transferring WeChat from old phone to new phone is never an issue", then why do so many WeChat users have problems with it and why is a how-to video necessary? This statement does not reflect reality. If this process is "never an issue", there would not be so many of us trying to get help on the transfer. Never use the word "never". 😅😂

But why once i log into the new phone with the same wechat account, the old phone wechat account will log out immediate before i scan the migrade code?
It allows 2 login machines at the same time. I've done it on my iMac 🖥️ and my phone. I couldn't get my Chromebook to work. On my old account I couldn't login via phone barcode scan because I haven't got the same SIM card as I had before. Recently I tried to add my Chinese bank card to my new uk WeChat account but the ID process failed on me. I taught in China. That's why I have Chinese bank cards. But the process can be daunting even when you're in China. I wish they allowed adding a UK visa card. It's unfair. Why make it hard to do transactions between Chinese and UK users? We could teach Chinese students and get paid into our UK banks via a WeChat within seconds. But Ten Cent doesn't allow adding non Chinese bank cards. Damn nuisance.
You are right, wechat cannot be login to two cell phones, but this step is to migrate your history to the other cell phone. It’s different and this is how to migrate your history.
I might be a bit late but when you see the qr code page on the old device, you can log in with the new device using the same account without being kicked out from wechat on the old device

So is it using the same 1 we chat account, or using a different we chat account??

Didn't work since I can't login to both cell phone at same time. when I log in to new phone old phone logged out.
Guys Switch on NFC and ensure you are on same wifi while doing all these steps.

Wechat migration process is so complicated, you have to jump back and forth between phones to make it work.

My phone is fully broken. But I do have chat history on my pc. Can I restore it pc to my new phone
