Serial Experiment Lain's OP being No. 1 had me shocked at first as well but after watching the anime and listening to the full song, it made sense why it topped the list lol.
It isn't the fact that Serial Experiments Lain is that popular, it's actually just the fact that the artist of its opening "Boa" is a popular artist in the UK, most of the streams of the song, are most likely from people who don't even know it's actually also an anime opening(Similar case for the Mushishi opening as well)
I have no doubt people loving it. I can even believe people encountered it on the internet. It seems even this reactor. That’s been true a long time, but wow, I was still shocked that many people still are seeing it online. Good for Lain! I loved seeing that surprise!
@@zacharyware9083Wait. Boa who sang the Lain opening isn’t the same BoA who sang InuYasha openings? I thought this was the Korean BoA who had a career in the Japanese music industry and sang several anime openings. Who debuted at 13. This BoA is an English band? Well, that explains the song being in English, although, BoA who sings anime openings has also put out a handful of official English versions in the past. I had no idea there were two different bands with the name.

It gets boosted by normal fans of boa aswell 😂
Idol is actually #1 by a huge margin if you take all platforms into account.
There’s an anime opening by BoA called Masayume chasing. It’s an opening to Fairy Tail. It’s one of my favorite anime openings of all time. It’s so good!!!
BoA the Queen of Kpop si different from the BoA mentioned on the list. 😆😆😆.
Not a bad video but there a better version out there call the top 100 most listened to Ops and it’s based off of Spotify ( where this list got it’s numbers from ) but also RUclips music and RUclips its self.
So it’s the stats across all the main streaming services to get pretty much the definitive top 100.
not surprise duvet is at #1 I personally stream that song every day also hear the homies play it a lot too
Well a lot of old popular anime op arent on spotify, or arent on their peak when streaming service are a thing

I'm surprised that there aren't any from Bleach or Dragon Ball and there's only one from One Piece. I wish you could react to the openings of Bleach or Jojo's, they are very good.
If we’re going by streams on streaming platforms, I’m pretty sure there have been times where the dragon Ball openings have not been an available for streaming or if they are, it’s not an official version but like a live recording.
Even now, for me to listen to Cha-La Head-Cha-La on Spotify it has to be a live recording of the singers performer.
Furthermore, it really is super old now, and the people who watch Dragon Ball are less likely the type to be constantly streaming the openings. Especially if it’s unofficial versions.
I’d expect Dragon Ball Super’s openings to be up there but on Spotify they don’t have an English title

Favorite AOT opening theme? Red Swan. listen to the full song. and second would be "under the tree" then followed by "my war".
csm was insanely popular when it came out so it's not surprising its so high and Kenshi is also very talented and I think Idol is number 1 if you count streams from more platforms than just yt.

if you would like recommendations, i always suggest haikyuu!! wotakoi and tokyo revengers. haikyuu is really light-hearted and i find that even non-anime watchers adore it, it's one of the most popular animes out there! tokyo revengers can get much more dramatic but it's great for an intense and compelling story with great characters you'll love (personal fav right now). wotakoi is super duper cute and wholesome, an adorable romance anime with such cute couples. from what i've seen in your reactions, i really think you would adore all 3. thanks for posting, looking forward to watching even more

Yes TxT was in-charge in a Black Clover OP also Solo Leveling OP , the other Korean Artist who performed an anime opening was Skz also in Black clover , Tvxq in One Piece and the Kpop Queens Younha and BoA for Bleach and Fairy tail

Sadly the tokyo ghoul anime ISNT that popular, its actually hated by the majority of the series fanbase, sad because I liked it, the manga readers were mad that it basically became its own separate story, its number 8 because unravel is goated

You do know these aren't "anime songs?" they are songs that get used for anime openings. They exist without and before the anime. Just like how real songs get used in movies and tv shows. Same thing.
I can’t speak for all of them but there are definitely many that are made with the purpose of being an opening
