Thank you! This was really helpful. I just bought one and yes the setup was really easy. Agree about the spool holder, had to fix that first thing. Still working on getting the wifi and camera part to work, but this is day 2 so all is well so far! Thanks for taking the time to make the video.
Great video and honest feedback on pros and cons. Overall a great machine let down by a flaky spool holder! How can FlashForge get so much right but overlook the basics? Not a deal breaker and a point of amusement that you used the machine to fix the machine issue! Subscribed!
Very useful thanks. Why would I want a high temperature hot end kit? The web site and Box both describe this as being 550mm wide, but your shoulders are probably that wide, and the unit is clearly MUCH wider than that. Any chance of accurate measurements please?
where did you find the file for the filament holder ? I have looked on thingieverse but haven't seen it. Could you direct me with a link so that I could make one ? Thanks
I've not had any problems other than a blocked nozzle and replacing my heated bed sticker. I ordered some bed stickers from Aliexpress but they were fake and peeled away on temps above 90.. so I bought some more direct and they have been fine. I still have two guiders now, but noticed a week or so ago they now do a flexible bed upgrade which I just go for. I have used flashforge support when I had my Adventurer 3.. and they sent me a new nozzle assembly for free, took about 2 weeks to arrive. It was quite painless but thats the only time. Hope this helps
No problem at all. Let me know if you need any other info, I now have 2 Guider II and a Guider IIs. I'm looking at doing a few videos soon on the upgrades I've done on the II. Which are, high temp nozzle, added camera, TMC drivers steppers which are loads quieter, slowed some fans down and added a removable bed. Biggest pain for me is having the filament roll at the back so I've put them now on a low table so I can reach over the top. :)
@@Waggster Great video and tipped the balance in making my mind up to go for one. Got mine coming this morning from Box (missed that special pricing unfortunately) and I'm really interested to see how you went about changing the stepper drivers with them being 'upside down' as it were
My Replicator 2 just died after the bashing its had printing face visors for the NHS. I've been looking for a replacement and your review of the Guider II was really helpful. May thanks.
Bought mine 3 months ago, i have 9 3D printers and to this day i haven't been able to do one reasonable print, completely dismantled today and found that the top frame was warped, not due to transport but rather bad manufacturing and QA, the y axis rods are curved so badly that i read 1 mm when measured on my granite surface plate, the glass plate was convex by 0.5mm, had to and lap it, 15 hours work so far diagnosing/repairing and i predict i will have 22 hours in it by the time i could get it running properly, i do not suggest anybody buy this 3D printer unless you have a full machine shop with mill/lathe or surface plate and height gauge and a good knowledge of dimensional measuring to check the parts, don't be fooled by the looks, geometrically out of square and or any parallel planes, you will swear your life seeing your money go to waste, im sure someone out there has trashed it brand new
@@adeadchannel4129 i design toys, so i print prototypes in PLA.. then i wanted to color them, so i created those prototypes 3D molds, in 3d printed elastic.. then i poured resin into those molds and created my toys. sounds easy. was a ton of work. then i started printing my own bong designs which take about 3 days to print.. and i have around 20 bongs printed.. so ive printed a ton of shit.

Thanks a lot. If it is possible, show please, how it will be upgraded with high-temperature hotend. 👍

Thanks for this! made my mind up now, looking for my first printer but also to add to my business so by the sound of it, perfect for me
Thanks again!
Thanks for the comment. I have two of these now and still going well. :-) I have done a couple of upgrades and will be posting about them soon.
@@Waggster Brilliant to hear, quick question? is it worth paying the extra £100 for the High temp hot end and flexible build surface?
Cheers

Great vid thanks so much. Actually explaining something about it thanks
Fantastic thanks very much for the spool holder and a great vidio

Is the Print Bed removable? How hard is it to remove the print from the bed?
the top comes off. its glass. not hard to remove.

Does it have a removable flexible build plate?
glass build plate. removable.
What's the maximum printing volume?
Build Volume: 280 x 250 x 300mm ;)
Please let me know about your social media accounts for further details
Couldn't you print yourself a new Spool Holder?
yup i printed one for my flash forge.. theres a spool for flash forge on thingiverse.
'It's not new, it's been around about 2 months' 🤣Old AF.
What's not new?
@@Waggster You stated it's not new, then stated it's been out only 2 months; so it's is in fact quite new.
Also, it's my 1st printer. Having really a clue what I'm doing bought it for my son

Hi, how much space does the Guider II occupy on you desk (width/depth) with mounted spool?
I bought a monoprice mini pro for £99
I've had one. great printer to get you going.

pfft. i bought mine 4 months ago. works like a dream.
You're not talking to the police here...mentioning names about the inferior printer would have been great.

it is huge.. but this printer is fucking amazing. i have over 800 hours on it in 4 months.
