The perfect Madden would be with Madden 13 gameplay, PS2 Madden 08 depth(franchise, mini camps, create a fan, etc), music variety(rap and alternative rock, and the weather system from the PS2. As long as EA, as a company, thinks that using the Frostbite is a good idea in a sport video game, this will continue. So two solutions here : 1°) Get rid of the entire EA sports development crew or 2°) Get rid of EA and transfer the NFL rights to another company. Using an engine as the Frostbite, that was designed specifically for FPS games, in a sport game, is a total nonsense.

Thanks for the warning regarding Madden 25. I ordered it last week for delivery tomorrow but decided to cancel it. I purchase the new Madden every year but not because I love the game but because there hasn't been any other options until the launch of the College Football 25. We all know College Football has bug issues, but so far, it’s much better in its early stages than Madden will be in December. I wish everyone, including myself, would stop purchasing Madden so the NFL would take the exclusive license away from them, and we would finally get a good game from another company.
It’s f****d up that EA can get away with putting out this trash every year and especially for the suckers who purchase it for early access when the game isn't even playable until November which you could purchase for around $40 at that time. I hate how they used College Football 25 bundle to get everyone to purchase both which will make it seem like Madden 25 was a all time purchase. 70$ a year for essentially the same game since 2010. I want more immersion in career and franchise mode. I don’t want some lame story. But I miss the interviews. The personalized training. Sprints to get faster, lift weights to get stronger. Run drills with the team to improve plays. Good drafts. Commercials. Getting money and buying houses that act as the hub. Social media. Build rivalries. Get fans sell jerseys. Cheerleaders! Show some gosh darn it. Every year they revamp tackling and hit sticks and all that jazz. Every year it’s “the best ever”. Add some immersion features yo.

Totally agree. I've tried SO hard to like Madden, kinda for YEARS...I've just never seen a Madden THIS bad. I swear on my LIFE, I've seen HIGH SCHOOL athletes play better defense, consistently. I just was in a solo challenge thing, end of last year i barely lose ANY games, solo battles, doesn't matter, hardest setting. Now, it's like your supposed to either become a 🐋 spending literal like 25$ or MORE per position player, or else enjoy dealing with PROFESSIONAL level athletes, LITERALLY playing less consistently than my local high school football team. I get they're trying to ruin everyone's experience enough, that they're "forced" to go spend real $ to improve enough to even enjoy ultimate team, but for like the 2nd time in close to 2 DECADES I think I'm kinda done with it. 28 weekly solo battle ganes, solo SEASONS, then solo challenges? They're expecting people to get "full rewards" spending like 100 or more hours PER WEEK? I mean, if it were fun like previous years, okay maybe, but good lord, I've just never had LESS fun than this year. The college game was alright, but it has its own downfalls. Like usual, there's a few better things, but also as usual, they've somehow DEEPLY regressed this year. They have justin jefferson, lamb, THAT'S the team EVERY player...WANTS to play with and enjoy, but instead, if you're not forkin over a MINIMUM of $1000, you ain't gettin HALF of what that team has. They promised everybody a Puca Nacua card, haven't gotten it. Every year same exact thing, 1st of the year is so unbelievably brutal, it just isn't fun. I've done basically all the games, played 3 days early, bought ZERO cards, tryin to save all i can to get a HALFWAY decent QB, and even dumpin MASSIVE hours tryna grind it out, I'm like 1/4th of the way of ONE player like Lamar. You need to a) play nearly CONSTANTLY b) ALSO pay up, pay to win worse than ANY year I've ever played c) ignore the fact you're essentially callin the same damn 5 plays, over, and over, and over, literally THOUSANDS of times. By the the time u get a halfway decent team, it's basically into OCTOBER, but @ beginning they wanna make things absolutely POSITIVELY AWFUL...bc players who are happy with a good team, don't spend HUGE wads of cash to IMPROVE their team. I always literally laugh out loud when they say here's your "OPPORTUNITY" to improve your team. Yeah, gee, thanks...I get the "opportunity" to spend real world cash, where you'd have to be mentally deranged to spend OVER $1000, and to be honest, even THAT wouldn't get u a truly dominant team, it'd either get u a team of decent players, or a good offense with a corny, terrible defense. EVERY start of the season, they put out 1, maybe 2 elite players @ almost every position besides like cornerback & Receiver, and I've dumped like 100 hours in already, without earning enough to even be HALFWAY towards gettin like a Lamar, at 84 or something. They know the game is God-awful, even for GOOD players, they know EVERYONE wants mobile QB's, therefore, they give people no options, lamar, or not lamar. Brady might have decent stats, but a player who JUST got a 99 ranked golden ticket card last year, Tee Higgins, starts the year off with a PALTRY 80 ranked card? Slow as Christmas 🎄, so how TF did he go from an ABSOLUTE MONSTER, down to below average, without a SINGLE game being played in between? The biggest problem w/Madden though, the opponents, especially on hardest modes, straight up cheat. They'll swing off blockers INSTANTANEOUSLY, but just a play or two later, in nearly IDENTICAL plays for my team, I simply cannot detach from blocks, or I'll have a player goin in for the QB sack HARD, only to get "magically" sucked into a block, it's just nowhere CLOSE to how decent players attack the ball @ the NFL level. I swear, i mean this, my local high school football team, you'll see a FAR better game than what Madden is showing, and they play about 4x harder. I GENUINELY cannot believe they get away w/this game, in THIS bad of a state. I thought maybe college would be awesome again, but it's almost like EVERY good thing it does, Madden messes up, and everything Madden gets right, College 25 messes up. Someone who REALLY loves football, since playin back in the day, and I can hardly stand the sight of Madden. It's so poorly thought out, and you're first few months, unless you're spending absolutely MASSIVE amounts of cash, is such a boring slog, I just don't see how I, or ANYONE for that matter, can mindlessly run the same 4-5 "super cheese" plays, blitzes, PA crossers, whatever. I was doin solo challenges, and they've now inexplicably started "blocking" actual plays u can even CALL? It's a football simulation, to mimic reality is the ENTIRE point...yet I'm told by....who? GOD? That i can only call offense or defensive plays 3 times each? Every year i guess i blindly hope it'll improve JUST a little more and be fun, only to realize they've spent by FAR the most time in dev. Time, making sure you, the average player 1) don't EVER get any highly ranked players in packs, @ MINIMUM during the early season when they have vastly higher value, especially @ skilled positions that they know EVERY player ACTUALLY wants on their team 2) if it says "78 or above" no matter what the odds say, u have about a 95% chance it'll be the ABSOLUTE lowest possible, a 78. ALL the dev time, seems to go into improving the CPU's experience, and ways of screwing players over. Situations that are nearly identical, play out SOOO different, depending on if it helps the CPU, EVERY start of the game, even if you win like 69-7, the computer will come out STRONG. If they are 3rd & 18, 2 or 3 of your guys, are gonna blow assignments, make soft arm tackles that we would've literally been taken out of the game, if our coaches saw us lolligaggin around like these "professional" athletes who get paid MILLIONS do, in Madden. They cannot improve this game, bc they ALREADY have their "winning formula". No one that makes literal billions, gives it up for no reason. Don't EVER expect anything to ever TRULY improve, a few things will, but the overall experience, has one set of rules for the CPU, w/a COMPLETE different set of rules for players. Holding gets called within the 5 yard zone where IT'S ALLOWED, but when the CPU does it, they can completely alter my receivers route, no penalty. Even WORSE, somehow, my players, yours too, get "caught" with clipping issues, yet i specifically watched replays of the CPU, and of course THEIR players, do NOT stumble the way ours do. The CPU can even morph the ball THROUGH players, limbs going through other players, but when it's OUR team, we either stumble like idiots, politely waiting until a tackler can get within range, or they go into some insane "animation" that doesn't fit in context of the play. This is probably the worst experience I've ever had w/Madden, they might make 2 or 3 improvements, minor ones, only to go DEAD-backwards with 8 things WORSE than last year. When u add in, being "excited" to get 82 ranked players in positions, it leaves VERY little ACTUAL FUN, especially when there's only a few truly reliable plays. Now, even THAT is messed up, blocking out potential play calls? Maybe online vs other real players, but wtf during SOLO CHALLENGES? The ONLY way this'll EVER truly improve is 1) about HALF the player base, takes one year off from purchasing or 2) 2k gets back into making a competitor. Monopolies are ILLEGAL in the U.S., yet they change the name to "franchise", pay the NFL LITERALLY 4-5 BILLION dollars every 4 or 5 years, and now their monopoly, is "legal-ish", under the new name "franchise". It's too successful makin absolute 🗑, if u made billions w/minimal effort, you'd do it too
Here's a rule of thumb I use when purchasing new games...wait 3 months post release to purchase.....allow the patches to happen, then purchase. Anything else is an exercise in unnecessary frustration.

The coding on the A.I is bad i have MLBs that dont react to QBs running and they stand there and allow them to run same thing when RBs are on the run. Line men run into blocks instead of going after the ball carriers.
This is arcade football is how I see it. I compare Madden to NBA Jam. NBA Jam was great where this Madden is not. Its just not a good game. And you are correct. This is why I play Elden Ring and GTA. I played one game and cut it off. Madden 25 is trash juice with maggots. Let alone they copied and pasted the playbook for both NCAA and Madden ,they used to be different from each other in the past. Let's not speak on how it feels like the same mechanics for both games. Yes, Madden plays slower, but go back and play them both in previous years and see how they played completely differently. Im one of the rare few that doesnt really like cbf 25. Game is just cheese. Run to the side thats half tje game and that gets super boaring for me. 70$ a year for essentially the same game since 2010. I want more immersion in career and franchise mode. I don’t want some lame story. But I miss the interviews. The personalized training. Sprints to get faster, lift weights to get stronger. Run drills with the team to improve plays. Good drafts. Commercials. Getting money and buying houses that act as the hub. Social media. Build rivalries. Get fans sell jerseys. Cheerleaders! Show some gosh darn it. Every year they revamp tackling and hit sticks and all that jazz. Every year it’s “the best ever”. Also when i user a CB at a zone flat, he would literally get brunt every time. Even when I'm not pressing, it would give me a trash ass animation to give the receiver a wide open catch.

Totally agree. I've tried SO hard to like Madden, kinda for YEARS...I've just never seen a Madden THIS bad. I swear on my LIFE, I've seen HIGH SCHOOL athletes play better defense, consistently. I just was in a solo challenge thing, end of last year i barely lose ANY games, solo battles, doesn't matter, hardest setting. Now, it's like your supposed to either become a 🐋 spending literal like 25$ or MORE per position player, or else enjoy dealing with PROFESSIONAL level athletes, LITERALLY playing less consistently than my local high school football team. I get they're trying to ruin everyone's experience enough, that they're "forced" to go spend real $ to improve enough to even enjoy ultimate team, but for like the 2nd time in close to 2 DECADES I think I'm kinda done with it. 28 weekly solo battle ganes, solo SEASONS, then solo challenges? They're expecting people to get "full rewards" spending like 100 or more hours PER WEEK? I mean, if it were fun like previous years, okay maybe, but good lord, I've just never had LESS fun than this year. The college game was alright, but it has its own downfalls. Like usual, there's a few better things, but also as usual, they've somehow DEEPLY regressed this year. NFL athletes don't politely walk over and ask if offensive players would please fall over, they've turned a BRUTAL football game, into soft, nonchalant, loafers who can barely muster the will to make a tackle, there's one solo challenge, where Pat Mahomes has some made-up team that doesn't even exist, Had to repeat it WELL over 20x, still can't finish it. They have justin jefferson, lamb, THAT'S the team EVERY player...WANTS to play with and enjoy, but instead, if you're not forkin over a MINIMUM of $1000, you ain't gettin HALF of what that team has. They promised everybody a Puca Nacua card, haven't gotten it. Every year same exact thing, 1st of the year is so unbelievably brutal, it just isn't fun. I've done basically all the games, played 3 days early, bought ZERO cards, tryin to save all i can to get a HALFWAY decent QB, and even dumpin MASSIVE hours tryna grind it out, I'm like 1/4th of the way of ONE player like Lamar. You need to a) play nearly CONSTANTLY b) ALSO pay up, pay to win worse than ANY year I've ever played c) ignore the fact you're essentially callin the same damn 5 plays, over, and over, and over, literally THOUSANDS of times. By the the time u get a halfway decent team, it's basically into OCTOBER, but @ beginning they wanna make things absolutely POSITIVELY AWFUL...bc players who are happy with a good team, don't spend HUGE wads of cash to IMPROVE their team. I always literally laugh out loud when they say here's your "OPPORTUNITY" to improve your team. Yeah, gee, thanks...I get the "opportunity" to spend real world cash, where you'd have to be mentally deranged to spend OVER $1000, and to be honest, even THAT wouldn't get u a truly dominant team, it'd either get u a team of decent players, or a good offense with a corny, terrible defense. I specifically told myself after last year, I wouldn't be getting this years, until like Halloween, i did that i think last year, and it was by FAR the best experience I've had, bc if u jump in around Halloween, by then they @ least have some talent @ every position that isn't so expensive to get decent results. EVERY start of the season, they put out 1, maybe 2 elite players @ almost every position besides like cornerback & Receiver, and I've dumped like 100 hours in already, without earning enough to even be HALFWAY towards gettin like a Lamar, at 84 or something. They know the game is God-awful, even for GOOD players, they know EVERYONE wants mobile QB's, therefore, they give people no options, lamar, or not lamar. Brady might have decent stats, but a player who JUST got a 99 ranked golden ticket card last year, Tee Higgins, starts the year off with a PALTRY 80 ranked card? Slow as Christmas 🎄, so how TF did he go from an ABSOLUTE MONSTER, down to below average, without a SINGLE game being played in between? The biggest problem w/Madden though, the opponents, especially on hardest modes, straight up cheat. They'll swing off blockers INSTANTANEOUSLY, but just a play or two later, in nearly IDENTICAL plays for my team, I simply cannot detach from blocks, or I'll have a player goin in for the QB sack HARD, only to get "magically" sucked into a block, it's just nowhere CLOSE to how decent players attack the ball @ the NFL level. I swear, i mean this, my local high school football team, you'll see a FAR better game than what Madden is showing, and they play about 4x harder. I GENUINELY cannot believe they get away w/this game, in THIS bad of a state. I thought maybe college would be awesome again, but it's almost like EVERY good thing it does, Madden messes up, and everything Madden gets right, College 25 messes up. Someone who REALLY loves football, since playin back in the day, and I can hardly stand the sight of Madden. It's so poorly thought out, and you're first few months, unless you're spending absolutely MASSIVE amounts of cash, is such a boring slog, I just don't see how I, or ANYONE for that matter, can mindlessly run the same 4-5 "super cheese" plays, blitzes, PA crossers, whatever. I was doin solo challenges, and they've now inexplicably started "blocking" actual plays u can even CALL? It's a football simulation, to mimic reality is the ENTIRE point...yet I'm told by....who? GOD? That i can only call offense or defensive plays 3 times each? Every year i guess i blindly hope it'll improve JUST a little more and be fun, only to realize they've spent by FAR the most time in dev. Time, making sure you, the average player 1) don't EVER get any highly ranked players in packs, @ MINIMUM during the early season when they have vastly higher value, especially @ skilled positions that they know EVERY player ACTUALLY wants on their team 2) if it says "78 or above" no matter what the odds say, u have about a 95% chance it'll be the ABSOLUTE lowest possible, a 78. ALL the dev time, seems to go into improving the CPU's experience, and ways of screwing players over. Situations that are nearly identical, play out SOOO different, depending on if it helps the CPU, EVERY start of the game, even if you win like 69-7, the computer will come out STRONG. If they are 3rd & 18, 2 or 3 of your guys, are gonna blow assignments, make soft arm tackles that we would've literally been taken out of the game, if our coaches saw us lolligaggin around like these "professional" athletes who get paid MILLIONS do, in Madden. They cannot improve this game, bc they ALREADY have their "winning formula". No one that makes literal billions, gives it up for no reason. Don't EVER expect anything to ever TRULY improve, a few things will, but the overall experience, has one set of rules for the CPU, w/a COMPLETE different set of rules for players. Holding gets called within the 5 yard zone where IT'S ALLOWED, but when the CPU does it, they can completely alter my receivers route, no penalty. Even WORSE, somehow, my players, yours too, get "caught" with clipping issues, yet i specifically watched replays of the CPU, and of course THEIR players, do NOT stumble the way ours do. The CPU can even morph the ball THROUGH players, limbs going through other players, but when it's OUR team, we either stumble like idiots, politely waiting until a tackler can get within range, or they go into some insane "animation" that doesn't fit in context of the play. This is probably the worst experience I've ever had w/Madden, they might make 2 or 3 improvements, minor ones, only to go DEAD-backwards with 8 things WORSE than last year. When u add in, being "excited" to get 82 ranked players in positions, it leaves VERY little ACTUAL FUN, especially when there's only a few truly reliable plays. Now, even THAT is messed up, blocking out potential play calls? Maybe online vs other real players, but wtf during SOLO CHALLENGES? The ONLY way this'll EVER truly improve is 1) about HALF the player base, takes one year off from purchasing or 2) 2k gets back into making a competitor. Monopolies are ILLEGAL in the U.S., yet they change the name to "franchise", pay the NFL LITERALLY 4-5 BILLION dollars every 4 or 5 years, and now their monopoly, is "legal-ish", under the new name "franchise". It's too successful makin absolute 🗑, if u made billions w/minimal effort, you'd do it too

Here's a rule of thumb I use when purchasing new games...wait 3 months post release to purchase.....allow the patches to happen, then purchase. Anything else is an exercise in unnecessary frustration.
In my honest opinion, M25 is much better than M24, but when comparing it to CFB25, I love CFB25 a lot more for the fun factor.

I was in the top 600 players in Madden 23. I took a break on 24. Bought this one and was ready to be top 100, shiiiiiiiiit. Last night my 13 year old son who has played Madden 5 times in his life, beat me 13 to 42. WTF!!!! Brooooo, I was playing hard as I could. Now he around here talking shit. I secretly wanna fight his ass. This shit is crazy broken. Too many issues to be competitive.

I played one game and cut it off. Madden 25 is trash juice with maggots. Let alone they copied and pasted the playbook for both NCAA and Madden ,they used to be different from each other in the past. Let's not speak on how it feels like the same mechanics for both games. Yes, Madden plays slower, but go back and play them both in previous years and see how they played completely differently. Im one of the rare few that doesnt really like cbf 25. Game is just cheese. Run to the side thats half tje game and that gets super boaring for me. I cant stand the 6 broken taxkles a play or the juke moves that juke you like 10 yards to the side and you can keep your full sprint. I never even use jukes i just hard cut and it just feels like actual football not using the same stupid juke every time. Idk i dont hate cbf 25 but its just in a honeymoon faze ngl. Madden 25 is getting shit from anlit of peope who haven't even pkayed it yet. So far it doesnt seem as bad as everyone wants to make it look.
