- Does Malaysia have the BEST STREET FOOD in South East Asia? When you're in Malaysia, forget fancy restaurants because it's all about the street food.
People say it's the best in all of Southeast Asia, and with dishes like char kway teow (spicy stir-fried noodles), nasi lemak (fragrant coconut rice with all the fixings), and roti canai (crispy flatbread), it's hard to argue.
We wander through the bustling food market whilst soaking up the energy, and treating ourselves to a delicious adventure. Malaysian cuisine is a unique mix of Malay, Chinese, and Indian influences, and that's what makes it so incredible.
Do you think that Malaysia has the best street food in South East Asia?

What a wonderful video. Yes, Malaysia is one of the best place for street food in this region. Nasi lemak, char kway teow, roti canai, those are few of the Malaysian comfort food.
And we love all of them 🥰
@@sunkissedbucketlist Wonderful. 😀
cendol is popular in Melaka because one of the main ingredient in cendol is called “Gula Melaka”, which is also known as palm sugar made from saps of coconut palms, the taste of gula Melaka is like burnt caramel with hint of coconut flavour
Jika ingin mencari asal usul Cendol carilah Dimana Cendol itu berasal. Cendol merupakan Makanan Khas Nusantara lokal Indonesia
Not only the best in south east asia but the world best because every food from all over the world you can find in Malaysia....
I really want to go to Malaysia and try the local street food
You will love it 🥰

Drink recommendations you guys also can try Horlick Ais, Neslo Ais, Sirap Bandung and three layer tea/coffee. You can easily find these food and drink at malay restaurant.(Except for Nasi Kerabu and Nasi dagang)
Three layer tea is kinggg
Thanks for the recommendations 😊
Maybe nasi kenduri kawin ok too
Wish you come to china Soon!!

22:06 I'm from Hong Kong. This type of apartment is a sort of last century Chinese and Western fusion. It's called 騎樓 qilou/ke lau. The distinctive features include the ground floor being commercial while the upper floor(s) are residential. The upper floors also juts out and rides over the pedestrian walking with or without support columns. Older/more historical types include columns usually with decorative designs on the columns and the facade.
I think maybe it started earlier like in the 19th century.

Chicken rice balls are actually chicken rice shaped into balls. In the olden days, they used to sell the chicken rice from door to door, so it makes sense to make them into balls so that it’s easy to carry and sell. Best way to eat is to dip it in some chilli sauce and soy sauce with garlic. 😋
Yam and sweet potatoes are two different things. One is dark brown and more starchy where as sweet potato is sweet, orange, purple or white in color
Thank you Tamil subtitle
For varieties of foods and
international choices ...YES !
For other SE Asia countries you can get their local foods but not easily available Chinese and Indian foods on the streets.
You can get those foods on the high end restaurants for sure.
You have to try the Every Malaysian's favourite dessert, bubur cha cha, is a delicious and vibrant medley of sweet potatoes, yam, and sago in a creamy coconut milk base.
You guys should visit Saturday ice cafe, at Melaka they have the best wanton noodle Melaka style, it's different then the one's in kl.
Oh yum 🥰
Awesome.
Wish you a happy staying in Malaysia🎉🎉🎉🎉, our brother country, love from China ❤❤❤❤
Thank you 🤩
can't go wrong with stteet food where ever you go.cheap but not sacrificing the taste.and the vibes makes the experience extra wonderful (and as long the weather is cooperating).just need to hit the gym af😢terwards.
Please do not pan your camera too quickly from one scene to another. I feel seasick. I like watching you guys but not the seasick feeling. Thanks.
For the sugar cane juice, add a couple of slices of lemon…it’s another level..😋
Yes it’s very nice. I usually buy freshly sugar cane juice and add slices of lemon at home.
We’ve tried it before and absolutely love it 🥰
@@sunkissedbucketlist try the ambra juice with ‘asam-boi / dried salted plum’. Very refreshing
Libby and Taz Such an amazing Foods vlog from Jonker street Malacca
OMG YOU GUYS ARE COMING SINGAPORE 😮😮OMG I CAN'T BELIEF IF PLS I WANNA MEET U GUYS TAZ AND LIBBY
if you have time to come to Cameron Highlands beautiful green tea, Langkawi, Mabul island, the stop must be beautiful
@40:40 I have never heard of ambra. We call them hog plums (Spondias mombin) here in Australia. They are grown in tropical north Queensland. The Malays in Malaysia and Indonesia call them kedondong.
Amra not ambra...amra is known in the northern part of Malaysia....i.e Penang Kedah,Perlis....in other states known as kedondong
Is it the same family as golden apples?
When the color is purple then you know its is yam@ taro...
Yam ice-cream is so yummy
Yum yum 🥰
The legendary Jonker Street❤
hai guys..greetings from brunei 🇧🇳.. i hope one day you guys can come to brunei .. wish you all the best.. love all your video ..bye take care
We will!
Yeah Jonker Street most popular place at Malacca 🎉the food looks yummy 😋 happy weekend 🌴🌱⚘️ let explore ahead 🏞🏝🏜⛰️🌇🌄
Yeah I think it may do. Here in KL for the first time and off to Mellaca in 2 days. That laksa looked amazing. Already eaten so many awesome things! Can`t wait to get to Georgetown
You will love Georgetown and the laksa was incredible 🥰
purple yam is also called Ube. there's another type of purple sweet potato from southern Japan, where even the skin is a deep bluish purple color. it's got more of a sweet potato taste, while yeah, you're absolutely right, Ube has a taste more similar to taro, the tuber itself has only a very mild sweetness, but there's more of a nut milk type taste to it, like cashew milk, as compared to the caramelized ultra sweet deep yellow or yellowish-white meat sweet potatoes.
Hi Guys , love your food vlog 😅❤❤❤ Easy for you guys to order/buy food here in Malaysia.. all are english speaking 😊
Thanks 🤩
Yam also called Taro, and not sweet potato.
Fried is like a deep fried Mars bar.
It seems that you are famous in China, perhaps more than in any other country.😃
Fyi,
Your video clip from China showed up on CGTN - China TV network. Nice work
Woohoo 🤩
But Malaysia is very hot....no escaping to cooler places like China.😊😊
Genting highlands and Cameron highlands are much cooler 🥰
I like street marketing
FYI, if you’re going to try street food in Kuala Lumpur, I suggest giving the row between DC mall and Pavilion Damansara Heights a miss. If I’m going to pay RM26 for a meal, I’d rather eat in a restaurant. Word to the wise.
Why always City Walk and Street Food?❤😂😢
Street food is the best and city walks are incredible 😉
Amra and Asam jawa is totally different...Asam jawa we use for its sour taste in our cooking....can also be used for drinks . ..it is tamarind in English..tamarind commonly used in curry or fish dish...
Thanks for sharing bro 👍🏻
Melaka used to have ship shaped museum , Flor de mar i think its called . Not sure still got or not
We had no idea
Singapore is way better for food trust me.
I think both chili crab and rib soup are better than Singapore. The most delicious chili crab I have ever eat is in Austin area of JB, which is totally better than that in Jumbo Seafood in SG.I alway have a positive impression of Malaysia even though I got food poisioning after eating a stale lobster in the China town of KL.
assam pedas... malacca style...
Yam is taro. We call yam here instead of taro 😂😅
We like it no matter what the name hehe 😛
Superb ♥️
🥰🥰
Chicken rice balls. Famous in Malacca, but doesn't mean they taste good. Ick.
I had them once and didn;t think much of it> And I was also sceptical of the rice whether it was made using leftover rice and 'hand' rolled into ball shape?
They were pretty bland but we’d give it another go, perhaps at another restaurant 🤩
I've tasted the rice ball at one small restaurant in Melaka (can't remember where lol) and end up ordering like 10 balls.. it was that good!
Go check out the Melaka speciality, the Satay Celup!😅✌️
Sounds good but what is it?
@sunkissedbucketlist It's Melaka very own take on the hotpot meal. Instead of the usual broth in the hotpot, it's replaced with a delicious Satay peanut sauce. There're lots of different choices of skewers available to choose from. And you're supposed to cook the foods in the delicious peanut sauce!😋
Its not so well lit up cos electricity tariffs has sky rocketed this year
Oh wow we had no idea
😎♥🇲🇾
🎉🎉🎉
U miss one yogurt cow
Yes we dooooo haha 😂

Sehingga saya berpikir *apa sebenarnya identitas Malasia* .
Merdeka 1945 satu penipuan sejarah
@yufeiwu-g1p *Skakmat* !!! Jikalau *Masakan Makanan Malasia Sama dan Mirip dengan Masakan Makanan China Tiongkok Kenapa tidak menunjukkan Masakan Makanan Budaya Bangladesh Nepal Rohingya India* dinegara kamu Supaya Adil , Betul Tidak??
*Jika hanya menunjukkan satu identitas Individu Yang menonjol tidak adil rasanya Masakan Budaya Bangladesh Nepal Rohingya India tidak ikut berperan* menunjukkan sisi identitas Makanan Mereka.
Mengingat *Jumlah Orang Bangladesh Nepal Rohingya India banyak Sekali di malasia* .
Lantas kenapa hanya menunjukkan satu Golongan individu, *karena kalian seringkali mengatakan Negara Malasia adalah berbilang Kaum* .
Tidak adil Rasanya Makanan Bangladesh India Nepal Rohingya Juga tidak ikut serta mempromosikan Malasia.
Apakah setuju ?? Mari berpikir bijak cerdas dan berlogika !!!!!!
Bro we love both countries and enjoy them for their diversity and their friendly people. Focus more on what binds us together as humans instead of looking for divisions and differences. It’s all about peace and love 🥰

Yam is taro..not sweet potato
Yum yum 😋
The confusion arises cos yam in the US refers to sweet potato. But yam in Southeast Asia refers to the greyish and sometimes purplish larger root taro.
在马来西亚 忽略马来人 印度人 感觉跟国内没啥区别😂😂
