      ​​@@metalicminer6231then people will leave the country... its very simple, if you take too much money from corporations and billionaires they leave the country... they don't just have money sitting in a bank as inflation would wipe it out, all their money is invested in companies which hire people, pay taxes and innovate for cheaper products which helps the poor. I dont think there is any more money to be taxed without it hurting the poor. Put a maximum wage in and they will leave the country for better offers.

      @@user-lb1yw6fc7l let them leave, the factories and workers will still be here, they can be paid a decent wage then. Pretty simple really, they wouldn't leave the country anyway, we would be putting these people in prison for breaking our laws..

      @@metalicminer6231 😂 that's not how it works, the factorys/companies will shut as there's noone to finance the business, there won't be investment for new machines, new workers, new innovation and if by some miracle the businesses don't shut noone will want to be in charge of those companies as they will be getting paid peanuts to try and save sinking ships.

    Every political discussion seems now determined by polling and political point-scoring. How about looking at things from the perspective of the civic good, the best thing to do? That's the whole point of politics. It's about arguing through differences to find the best course of action for the civic good. Come on journo's. Grow some integrity. Find your civic purpose again and talk about what will bring utility, not just what will give either side an avantage.

    Steven Flynn called out all three of the major parties multiple times during the debates for covering this up. None of the major news organizations properly scrutinized Starmer or Sunak during the election on this and now we're left in this situation where Labour are trying to figure out what they use it as an excuse for not properly funding, with the answer likely being as much as they can get away with.
