great video how would you make adjustments for that caliper? Also I watched all your videos very nice job. I dont live far from industry california do you do classes there?
I have the same dial caliper (505-637) which has both inch and metric scales. The caliper is very accurate is in inch scale, but way off in metric scale. The error increases almost linearly from 10mm to 150mm, and reaches its maximum value (almost a full revolution) at 150mm. How can I take accurate measurements in metric scale (I don't use much of the inch scale) with this caliper???
Thank you for your question. Calibration can include taking measurements and comparing the results to known values. The term “calibration” can lead to confusion because calibration to one person may not be calibration to another. Thanks for the questions. There may be wear on the jaws which would require these to be sent into our Repair Department, or they are no longer parallel which can also be adjusted by our Repair Department. You can contact our Repair Department at www.mitutoyo.com/contact-us/repair-calibrate-field-service/ or by calling us at 888-Mitutoyo (648-8869).

not finding the actual calibration adjustment procedure..to me this is a caliper check, not calibration.
Please provide calibration method for magnetic V Block..

The dial has both scales? I’ve only ever seen metric OR inches
So… how do you calibrate as the title suggests? This is just taking measurements

What do you do if you take your dial caliper in and it gets rejected because it closes at .001 to .003 on average? Not always closing at zero?
