It's quite possible that neither of them actually dress that way, but they do so because it attracts a different demographic than the other performers (i.e. you) and so their company wishes them (or perhaps just encourages them) to dress/act a certain way.
On a totally unrelated note, I dunno what was said in that conversation originally, but, um... do you know what her personal life is? Like do you follow her on various social media and whatnot?
