IT'S WORSE THAN WE THOUGHT: HURRICANE IAN | DELTONA | DISTRICT ONE

My last video I thought I caught the worst of Hurricane Ian's effects on Deltona. I was completely wrong, just on the other side of town entire streets were underwater. People are just spectators now watching the flooded areas and what was there homes. Here we are four days later and the water still has no where to go. Hurricanes we are all too familiar with, but flooding of this level has never happened before. Some are saying that over development in the city and changing elevations through construction has caused low lying areas to be more heavily effected by heavy storms. If this is the case, please take what you know to town hall on Monday 6/3/2022 at 6:30pm and make your voices heard.

Thank you for your video of our home town area , I drove to my sons home yesterday , and didn’t realize how flooded things were , The rain was substantial all across Florida . , stay safe God bless.

I'm so sorry for all the damage. I lived here in the 70's on Valiant Ave. I'm certain that my parent's former home is flooded since it was lower than the road.

I always take tivoli to work and I remember seeing a large portion flooded the next day going to work and i gotta same it freaked me the hell out seeing all that water
