You know what I just realized lego is missing out on?? The parade floats! Parks release merch of those all the time, I feel like those would translate great to lego more sustainably than lets say, a playset for each set of characters

I gotta say, I'm glad the characters aren't a bunch of repeats like they were in the original submission. However, I do wish there were a few more, given these are the only Disney minifigures we're likely to get this year.
I will say Minifigure Bruno gives me hope for the future. I think everyone agrees that a D2C Casita would be a fantastic idea. I like the recent one, but I'd love to see it get the set it deserves.
I think they should’ve swapped Bruno for Aladdin and that build and it would look a lot better- especially the carpet, and add the smile to mickey but outside of that it’s great.
Simba and Lilo are so precious I almost want the set just for them alone lol

Honestly, I'm sick of AFOLS complaining about every set Lego pushes out nowadays for the stupidest reasons.

This set is the best priced, coolest Disney set ever. I expected this set to be $129.00 USD. I have the new Disney Castle, and plan to have all the Disney Animation Studios characters partying inside. This set gives me so many more to add! Thank you Lego, keep them coming!

I was thinking of maybe saving this for Christmas, but there is a chance I'll be going to Disneyland next spring. That's not set in stone yet, but if I will, then I'll get this set at the Lego store there. I think it'll be very fitting.

I like the minifigures and the little vignettes. But they ruined Mickey's face compared to the original Ideas submission. The mouth and the eyes look off. Also I wish they'd given us a new mold for Simba. This one looks like it's been taken straight out of a Disney Princess set. I'll probably just get the figures on their own

Granted the minifigures are great, but the Mickey looks bad, the Sebastian and flounder are there to pump up the price and people who didn’t buy the Disney 100 series have to come back and pay even more to complete the duo. Also, considering that lilo and stitch are getting the house made, there gonna repeat the exact same figure
I agree, respect to the fan designer, but frankly it looks like an unfocused mess.
@@coolioam8137 and that’s the sad part: when this won the competition, I was EXTREMELY hyped because the design was really creative. But you know how lego works: they disappoint. That’s why I’m scared for the gum all machine or the Italian Rivera or the luxo lamp. Because I absolutely adore those ideas, but since they disappoint, I don’t want to see those designs to be ruined
I honestly like the Mickey face, especially from a distance, but the robes just feel haphazard, like you were running out of red bricks and had to use whatever you had left just to fill it out
@@coolioam8137 To be fair, I was kind of hoping it'd be the minifigures alone without Mickey's ominous presence, as if he's overshadowing them. Let's just get the figures by themselves and not pay 100 dollars for one set.

I really don't get the amount of hate this set gets. Yeah, I know the mouth is a bit off, but it doesn't take me out of the build in any way
I honestly kinda hate this set for what it represents. LEGO Disney has been no stranger to sets that transparently only exist to trick minifigure heads into buying something that checks off a new Disney character but at least the floats or the villain icons sorta have a theme to them. This is ostensibly a Sorcerer Mickey display and I can maybe accept shoehorning in the water-themed characters as a funny play on what happens in Fantasia but the inclusion of Bruno, Belle, and Simba really stinks of “we can make any hodgepodge display and people will buy it for a new minifigure”
The Bruno head + hair combo would be perfect for a custom fig of one of my novel characters, outside of that though I have no real desire to get this set. Bit too cluttered and unfocussed for me 😖
Even though my budget is going towards the Fortnite and Star Wars Sets coming out on October first. I have to say the Minifigures look fantastic, and I will look it to get this on sale.
Great set for a fair price. So much better than the original design with all these overdue figs. I don’t understand what people don’t like about Mickey except the mouth like you said.

The fact the sima is using FRIENDS lion mold is also very "cheap".
