There's no real community in church. How can you build real fellowship when the entire service revolves around a sermon and three songs? There's nothing that the other members of the Body of Christ can do.
There's always stuff a member can do. Sometimes you have to be patient and sometimes we have to be humble enough to do that task that we were given. Some people are too proud to be cleaning or to be welcoming guest. But thats how it all starts. It's a beautiful thing to be honest
Mega Churches are cookie cutters, but a real FAMILY CHURCH that preaches God's Word, Exhalts JESUS & allows the Holy Spirit to manifest (not be quenched) will be admirable.
I can't survive without my church. I have to come every time there is service. It hasn't always been like that, because once I was away from church for many years until I realized I could not go on without the church. Now I see not only my own dependence on church, but also on how important it is we all support a church fellowship. Because we are created in Christ as members of one another. You cannot do without the church fellowship. Because it is God's order, the way He does things. The church is where solution are found, where prayers are answered. Why? Because God wants us to care for one another and be dependent on one another. That's why bringing your prayer request to church is so important. You cannot expect that God will answer your prayers and solve your problems if you live as a lone wolf, because doing that is to say, "God I don't need church. God I don't need your body. God I don't need my brother or my sister." What a fatal error. What an offense to God. You are bound to be humbled if you think that you can do without the church. He who ascended on high gave gifts to His people. The gifts are to be found in church: pastor, teacher, etc. The church *is* that precious jewel that God gave you as a gift when you were born again. And to say you don't need that precious jewel, is not only a fatal mistake on your behalf, but also an offense to God. I can't survive without my brother and sisters in church. I can't make it without the power of their prayers. I can't live without their love, their being there.
This sounds pretty but so misleading. So much talk about" you need to belong to a church" ...makes me sick. We should be aiming to build our relationship with Jesus, and become citizens of Heaven rather than preaching that people NEED to be a member of a church. Every believer automatically becomes a MEMBER OF THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST. BECAUSE WE ARE THE CHURCH. WE ARE THE TEMPLE. those building are just social clubs...most if not all.
Local churches don't really even do anything. It's listen to an hour and a half sermone, play the same hillsong and bethel songs and especially the ones from the radio, you afterwards try and walk up the altar to get saved or whatever, then you go home as if nothing happened and everyone ignores you. If this is how church is going to continue to be then I don't want to keep on going there I'm just saying.
Honestly, this is partly true. I would still attend church just to receive my confirmation to be allowed to marry in a church in front of my lord and savior. That’s about it though. Churches are really more leaned towards religion, like Catholicism, when they should be focusing more on faith, like Christianity. It’s just sit down and listen to me talk and then leave and sin some more. Not very effective, but I’ll always hope for the best for our churches that they may become better. Always in my prayers.
Wow! this is the same language Frank Viola uses downplaying the institutional church, and uplifting every member participating with their endowed gifting to edification of the church.
@ 1:16 of the video we are sanctified by the word of God and guided by the holy spirit, not by the church. we are to encourage one another not to sanctify each other that is the work of Christ. He is the author and finisher of our faith.
I guess that's is all about now, is how to organize and use people as an able body or resource for a goal or some type of objective. Each church I went to beats the same drum that how we believers should use our gifts to better the local church. ....just ten years ago, I went to hand full of churches and not once I was push or preach at of guilt to use my gifts. Today, all I hear about is get people in to grow the church and it's resources. I remember the messages was how to live your 9 to 5 ordinary routine life as a way to give God glory, but now all I hear now is go big or go broke. .....It's a eerie feeling, but it seems that lot of leaders and volunteers are giving their time and money that they will have all these riches in heaven. In ROMANS 3:10 and 3:23 says that no one is righteous and all have fallen short the glory of God. And, to those who think that being a member, leader, or a volunteer that there good deeds is storing riches in Heaven, in JEREMIAH 17: 9-10 and ISAIAH 64:6 say how man's kind heart is PURE EVIL and all your righteous DEEDS are like a MENSTRUAL BLOODY RAGS unto God. .....You really want to use my gift in these modern churches, then I will Judge them and tell them only treasures is wanting for them is Hell fire!! John 7:24 and Matthew 7:21-23.
Upon what, will He build His Church? Some say Peter's testimony, others, Peter himself. But I like to embrace a more optimistic interpretation...... I think Jesus is saying that it's NOT upon what has been revealed by flesh & blood.... Rather, by what is REVEALED BY JESUS' FATHER WHO IS IN HEAVEN.... Just like Jesus said. That His Church is built upon revelation from God. Just like Jesus did it. By SAYING what we HEAR Daddy SAYING & DOING what we SEE Daddy DOING. Amen

when will any local Church be set up Biblically.....it seems that we have Constatine to thank for all that is called Church, right down to the buildings, and administrations, inside....ergo....they aint....Biblical....so what does one do...
