I remember being in the theatre the day blade came out it was a full house as soon as the credits rolled people begin clapping their hands shouting praises to this film the whole crowd stayed until the credits ended i'll never forget it badass movie and music 10/10
This was honestly one of the most groundbreaking DnB tracks ever released at the time. Only ever got to hear it played out once and it stood out like the proverbial dogs balls because of how unbelievably crisp the drums were compared to any dnb tune released in the day. if i recall it was the first dnb tune to use digital drums instead of sampled breaks (or something along those lines - i remember reading about it somewhere im sure) - hope someone can confirm.
I just remember seeing the video on MTV'S amp.good stuff, and although i dont speak Japanese i never forget how to say "two swords technique". Hoping to win at parties.
@John Laws 二天一流 is "The school of 'Two Heavens as One'". It is a well-known _school_ (ryu/ryuha) of swordsmanship created by the famed samurai Miyamoto Musashi, and not a single technique of fighting in itself.
What year were you there? I used to play Dumb Dumb and Spellbound at Band on the Wall, Photek blew the Manc crowd away, no one used to play that kind of stuff up north
Sick!! I’m in Manchester now, just started college and getting into the music scene, wish I could find places that played more stuff like this instead of how most DnB is now
'Ten' definitely has connotations with heaven. I remember I was at a Japanese pub with a old guy - he said always liked to have 10 beers, and then he was in heaven :)
@@damirvukalic Yes, AMP was only on for a few seasons and aired late at night on Saturdays. I stumbled across it by accident and it was great. Wish MTV never cancelled it, and that they still played music.
Literally means "Two Heavens One Style", but, you lose something in the translation. "The Praxis of Two Heavens Being as one" would be better. If it was "To" instead of "Ten", it would mean "sword" instead of "heaven". So in essence how to become one with your two swords(Daisho: Usually, a Katana and a Wakizashi). There is a video for this song that was on a show called AMP, it showed a Samurai using the techniques in combat, most notably Musashi's "Impenetrable Defense".
One of the songs that made me fall in love with drum-n-bass. Elegant and timeless. Peace.
Rupert parkes
still so fucking elegant. most stylish d&b track ever 10/10
Drum & Bass in its most pure and quintessential format in my opinion.

Was already a fan of this track and I'm finishing watching the first Blade film. So bad ass.

"Two fists, one dragon" is what it MEANS. A 'two-sword' technique is what it IS.
yeah he wrote that himself back then. two scords technique
@John Laws sure?, no two swords, one heaven?
@@fernandovasquez385 no, I'm sure he's sure. I can't read the fourth kanji, but I remember the second one is heaven
@John Laws no, please be that guy. I'd rather be correct

Photek is perfect!👽
I always started my DNB sets in Manchester with this. RIP Dry Bar

Step 1 - play this
Step 2 - read the Vagabond 70 man fight scene
Step 3 - hype
Loosely, "two heavens as one technique". Founded by Musashi Miyamoto.
or "The best technique"
nope. Two swords technique. That is what he wrote back then.

First heard of MTV's AMP...in the mid to late 90's.
Didn't know they played this kind of stuff on MTv!
