Great video Abbie, lovely views. I was intrigued by Wandsworth's house now owned by triratna Buddhist school as I am a triratna Buddhist! Oh and Coleridge wrote rime of the ancient mariner, the only poem of his I know as I did a paper in it at school many years ago!
I was walking today and thought that I hadn’t heard from you in a while and I hoped you were doing well! So glad you are back with a great video with special guests 😊 another walk to add to my list now. Sorry you were ill.
Recently found your videos and have been enjoying them. I first encountered Lynmouth on a school trip and have loved the area ever since. A neighbour of mine used to talk about the 1952 floods he was in the army and stationed close by he went to help during the night and the following few days. He was a lovely guy with plenty of stories to tell recently departed unfortunately. I’m looking forward to exploring more of your back catalogue 🙂.
That was wonderful and amazing! And, as always, I am ever so grateful for those special moments when you take the time to notice the little natural details like plants and flowers, Abbie! Thank you so much for the best hour plus I've spent in quite a while!
Great video! Wonderful hike. I wonder if the seeds in the raspberries caused the stomach distress? Those can be hard on the gut sometimes. Glad it wasn't serious. I had a smile on for most of your film, watching you all have such fun and make so many small discoveries - the frog, the berries, the feather, the flowers. And just relax and appreciate the company. The perfect way to enjoy a group hike.
This was fantastic Abbie, Anna has great energy can tell the sort of person she is running after that farmer to get permission to camp, hopefully she will be in more of your long distance walking videos. Hoping you release the Cotswolds way soon as I live near it.
Beautiful, I was walking with you guys. i have done quite a few trips with H F. Anne has done amazing seeing it was her first walk. Enjoyed immensely. Toronto
I’ve been wanting to do this trail like forever. Thank you, it looks amazing and I know Porlock really well and a couple of times I’ve walked up to Hurlstone point and around to Selworthy. Porlock is my happy place seeing this made me so happy, I’m so pleased you shared this. I’m determined to to the Coleridge way now. There were so many things I recognised, the church with the stag and the view across Porlock bay towards Bossington and even Webber’s post. So there’s more sculptures to see other than the apple core , it’s all amazing. What a joy to see you all as well. I’m so happy right now.
Great video as always Abbie. Walked this back in 2015 in 4 days. Stayed in Monksilver, Wheddon Cross and Porlock. Found the first day a bit weird as you circle round the Quantocks rather than up Holford Combe and over the top to Bicknoller and like you diverted over Dunkery but the last bit from Porlock was just gorgeous.
Abbie, thanks so much for your rich travelogue on the CtoC (I haven't seen your newer videos yet!). Makes me want to take the trek myself. Only after vicariously walking with you on your video did i find out my son (Joel Penner) knows you from time at a Bristol film festival a few years back. Small world. He and I took in the Cotswold Way back in ‘16! Take care, and happy trails.
Back in the day this area was owned and managed by a well heeled individual and member of parliament (forgot his name) who, when his serfs/servants grew too old to work did not throw them out. They continued to live on his estate until the end of their days. To repay him they would adopt a path and maintain it, hence, Tom’s Path, Sparrow walk, Cabinet Walk and many others which retain their name to this day.
Brilliant video and commentary lovely scenery and village life I am not familiar with the area as my area for walking where I live is Lancashire Cumbria and Yorkshire always great to have company along the trails well done keep them coming 👍
great to see you out with Ann again i rember when you meet Ann when you done the C2C trail how long have you had that walking stick Abbie how long do your home made walking sticks normaly last and do you have a Favourie one you have kept .
Great video, please keep a check on any tick bites for a target like mark around them. This can be a sign of Lyme Disease, it's treatable but you want to get tested if you're unsure. I was unlucky enough to catch it a few years ago and it's unpleasant, I'd hate for you ladies to get it.
There is also another waymarked trail in East Devon called the Coleridge Link - It starts in Ottery St. Mary - Which has strong connections with Coleridge
Hi Abbie.. You have inspired me to do more hill-walking now. I shall be leaving soon so as this may be my last contact with you. It has been a great pleasure joining you on many of your walks. My life is going to change but my walking will have to take place as and when i can get out. Not many has inspired me the way you have and i want to thank you for all of your video,s and talks you have done. Regards Mick..xx
like watching lovely vids - - used to walk south coast a lot - now live near bordeax - uk has some great set path routes well signed - france keep getting lost fortunately always a wine bar within walking distance .... maybe still shot map end for reference thanks -
Bilberries are called Whortleberries over on Exmoor, they are called Whimberries over here in South Wales. There are some pictures of people picking Whortlberries in the 1930’s in a tea room in Porlock. Just love Exmoor, miss it so much, can’t recommend the food and the. Exmoor Gold in the Rising Sun
Well done, Triple A!! I've just started this walk with a friend (also called Anna); we're doing it in 10-12 mile day walks. I've also questioned why the route arcs around the Quantocks, beneath the hills and I believe it does the same around Dunkery Beacon. I guess the obvious answer is that Coleridge wasn't a fan of hills!! ;-) All the best, Abbie and look forward to seeing more videos from you in time.
With the horse when you said "that's so sad" I'm assuming you were talking about the fly mask, not the flies. Fly masks are very see-through for the horse and a God-send to keep flies off their eyes (where the flies feed on fluid drainage) and the ears. As you could see the horse was already suffering through some flies...would have been so miserable without the mask.
thank you for another great walk with your lovely, bubbly presentation. I noticed that you stop at churches that conveniently have water taps. Am I missing a trick here? Do most churches have a water tap for passing travelers?
Most churches have graveyards, graveyards means flowers and taking care of them at all hours. So that's the reason an accessible tap is likely at a church.
Really enjoyed this video varied and beautiful scenery three friends out for a stroll only one small gripe ADmageddon 16 in 76 minutes but video 10/10 carry on regardless 👍😊
What about Keats's 1818 walk from Lancaster to Inverness? Is that still possible? I have no Idea. I live across the ocean in northern Ontario. Perhaps people do it. I have no idea.
I like when you talk about the years when a building was built the oldest buildings in America that Europeans built are in Florida, Texas, and New Mexico around the mid 1500's..... But there are old Indian ruins that are over 3000 years old....
This is exactly why I'm subscribed to Abbie's channel: UK Long Distance Walks - this one I haven't walked. More of the same please!!
I’ve missed these long videos
Thanks Abbie, for another beautiful walk. I love seeing your love for each other and hope love for the wild.
Three beautiful souls
brill vid that, big well done to anna on her first long distance walk, you 3 make a good trio, lets see some more 👍
Thanks Abbie & the tripple A gang! That was a great hour or so spent on a wet Sunday morning watching your journey! Much love to all as always 💪🥾
Brilliant trio! This kind of long-distance walk is on my wish list for that far-off day when my children are older.

This is my first of your videos and I loved it, I’ve just started hiking at 52 years old
Thanks for sharing your sweet time with lovely sisters in the wild. Very enjoyable.

It looks like so much fun to be with Ann and Anna. Wish I could go with you.
Really enjoyed watching this. Great work girls!! Good fun.

Been watching your videos for about a year now and love them all! - keep up the great work & stay wild!!
You don't know how much shut-ins enjoy walking with you, by proxy. My almost 90 year old father in law thoroughly enjoys it.

Wonderful video. Cool aunt.
Wow, how cool that Holly is soooo oo local.
Loved this - great to see the longform videos back on the channel
Well done lady’s 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Love that Anne joined you guys for this one :D
That is a fly mask on the horse, a luxury for them in bug season, like looking out of a screened porch, not sad at all!
great to see you out with Ann again i rember when you meet Ann when you done the C2C trail how long have you had that walking stick Abbie how long do your home made walking sticks normaly last and do you have a Favourie one you have kept .
We are due to holiday not far from Coleridge Cottage in August. Never explored that area before but can't wait. Hope to try a bit of the trail too.
“If you know how to find them, you can hike with The A Team”! Love those Yellow Zig Zag maps - did the Two Moors Way with those.
Would you help me, Ian, please?
I'm unaware of Zig Zag maps; they look pretty good but l couldn't find them anywhere. I'm probably being dim...
Great countryside, great company. What more do you need? Thanks for sharing your journey, hope you’re stomachs doing alright now! Stay safe atb 👍🦊

Ooo. Nice to have this trail on my walking radar. Thank you
Another fantastic video. I very much enjoy tagging along for the journey. Thank you.

Mike. Where does it end?
By the way if you do do it in future - please make a RUclips of your adventure
Got to add this to my hiking list! Well done!
I really enjoyed that. Thank you Abbie, Anna and Ann. 👍🙂

Great Video Abbie ( Loved it ). I walked the Two Moors Way a couple of weeks ago and i am planning to do this walk mid September... Thanks :)
Thanks Abbie, great video! 👍🏻

Awesome video Abbie!! Looks amazing.

Great video from Team Triple A! Lovely views, interesting facts and lots of laughter - perfect!
Another great walk achieved, great video Abbie as ever. :-)
Having walked some of the route earlier this year it was great to see you doing it. Great video 👍

Well that’s something I didn’t know. Thanks for that.

I need to finish the extension bit from porlock to Lynmouth
I get so excited when I see a new video!
LOVED IT 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼♥️
My trail clearing muscles were twitching at the vegetation overgrowth

Your so beautiful !! Your personality is great !! Your partner is a lucky lucky person ! ❤️🙏🌎

Bloody hell that tractor was going quick
Hi Abbie!
Loved watching this Documentary. I am so glad you finished. Did you have any issues with those tics. The views looked amazing
The hood on the face of the horse is to keep the flies off its face, it probably has an injury or infection.
Climb Mount Olympus with Ann
Who was Ann carrying in her rucksack? :D
Thistledragon! Where’s she been???
What about Keats's 1818 walk from Lancaster to Inverness? Is that still possible? I have no Idea. I live across the ocean in northern Ontario. Perhaps people do it. I have no idea.
At 24.18 there's a deep voice that's says thank you ?
Never Stowey ? Is vat anywhere near Nether Stowey.
Oh cool, I've done this one. But in the other direction
Love your video's Abbie, you could give Julia Bradbury a run for her money😀
Typically British😍. We had nuts like that in mum's garden. Trees.
What if it was Cecil bilberry? Is that proper??
I like when you talk about the years when a building was built the oldest buildings in America that Europeans built are in Florida, Texas, and New Mexico around the mid 1500's..... But there are old Indian ruins that are over 3000 years old....
Also the Norseman built settlements up in Newfoundland back in the 1000's....
To many berries in belly may have been a problem.
Very nice video marred by a ridiculous number of ads.
Bilberries? Come on, now...being a local, surely you should be calling them whortleberries!! :)
Her left arm looked sliced up.
Your tall girl friend is very pretty....
maybe too many berries
Its pronounced Cole ridge not Coler ridge😮
Eccles cakes are for blasphemers; Chorley cakes are clearly superior (and that's about the only nice thing I'll ever say about Chorley).
I notice also the odd love and girlfriend references between you and the tasty blonde !
Are you two..... That way inclined ? If you get my drift
Anna is gorgeous
She is a lovely girl.
