Ethiopia is still trying to change the picture you painted on the country forty years ago, so please stop this nonsense.
Africa is not a country. Ethiopia has an image different from the famine. Ater all so many top distance athletes are Ethiopian since 1984. So would you not give flood relief charity, incase it gave a false image i na few minds. Grow up
Africa as a whole did nothing to help these people, only watched them starve. Ethiopia did little to help them, they painted their own picture.
You are naive, your talking nonsense…people in that😮part of Africa had been helped.
The fact is that Band Aid was absolutely fantastic and of its time. Lets stop re releasing it. It was an original classic. Let the young people now do their own thing and make their own contributions.
But they can't be bothered can they?
The problem is young people aren’t doing anything like it! Band-Aid, farm aid, and we are the world were it. If you remember correctly that was all in the 80s. Where have all the young people been?
All together now ‘ it’s Christmas time Bob Gandolf’s on the take again… ‘
His hand has blood of ethiopian people his money spent for wopn for civil war
People were starving to death ffs!
Tripe.
@@tulyar57 What enraged most Ethiopians was not what he tried to achieve 40 years ago, but utilizing the same tactics now that are no longer necessary or true. The country has moved on, so why keep dragging them into the past and tarnishing their reputation over and over again?
But why did Ed not participate? Hmmmm?
He’s irrelevant now.
That man looks a wreck.
So cringe
So is that pic of yours.
I guess they're both really cringe@@jmcc2275
Grotesque, narcissistic virtue signalling. There is no famine in Ethiopia. Their Prime Minister says this campaign will harm Ethiopia’s burgeoning economy
And here is the Rat from Boomtown! 🐀
Not very entertaining are you?
If I asked for money to fix up a block of flats to help get homeless people off the streets and 40 years later those people were still on the streets but I was now rich.. I'd change my name to Bob geldof
Odd comment. It's 40 years later, so it's not the SAME people that today's £ from Band Aid is being spent on...
@@davidgreenwood3006 But the money didn't help anyone 40 years ago.. it was spent on arms that were used against the people. And I find it bewildering how anyone in the west can ask Africans if they know it's Christmas when those African countries were practicing Christianity for over 200 years before Europe!
He spent the money to feed them ,give them food ,not to take them off the streets. 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
Well done Bob
When the rest of the world did nothing, an irish
Man stood up people should remember that
He stood up ask asked for millions from the public and almost all of the $100M donations were taken by the communist rebels in Ethiopia which he got rich from it. Remember that.
@sjacrane of course, most food money aid is stolen, thats not a big reveal
Bob Gildof did a righteous work at that time initially. But now he is doing it to infuse life to his dead fame. He was long ago forgotten from media due to he has been unable to comeback on stage with new creativity, art or humanitarian work since then.
Did anyone in Ethiopia ask for help? I don't think so, so what makes you think they need your help? I guess it is you who needs aid to develop music that charted at number one. This is all about you and your ego, nothing else. Please stop utilizing these false narratives to damage Ethiopia's image.
They obviously needed help.
Let's stop ALL international aid then, shall we? Enjoy your Christmas.
Saint Bob is so full of himself 😮 it was a terrible song that needs putting to bed. Ethiopia is a strong country now that has self respect m. It does not need our pity.
Its about Sudan not Ethiopia.
@ but that’s the point isn’t it? No one knew because the song only says Africa which is a massive continent. Further spreading disinformation about this part of the world.
Of course, you want it to be number one. When did you last have a number one song? It appears to me that you have run out of ideas or new music; therefore, you are playing your old game, which is quite monotonous. Shame on you! Ethiopia is still trying to change the picture you painted on the country forty years ago, so please stop this nonsense.
Ethiopia painted its own picture 40 years ago…….we all saw it. …..including Geldof.
