I predict that Starlight is going to brutally blind Neuman and make her unable to use her power, since it's established that she needs line of sight to make heads pop. It makes sense with the current darker arc that Starlight is on, she's becoming more accustomed to using her powers to hurt people. Also, it follows suit with supes that need a certain sense to make their powers work, ie. Blindspot's hearing, Kenji's hands, and now Neuman's eyes.
@Jordan Moir lmao, the show is massive, it isn't getting canceled
@Sidney J. Duffy Deep also has his whole body enhanced. We see him knock out thugs with a single hit each. So he's no slouch in terms of physical strength at least
@Jordan Moir it’s amazons prime best show
homelander could also melt her eye sockets or cindy's implosion cancels out neuman's explosion, it would be payoff for cindy's hype or a way to show homelander trying to wrestle back some authority
@Jordan Moir it was renewed for season 3 months before season 2 even aired😂 This show ain’t getting cancelled
I like how this show can gender bend so many characters amd make it work so well

They also saved A Train and gave an actual life to The Deep... somewhat.
Also people are not bitching about it lol
@@jesusblanco7657 no one bitches when it is done right
@@stadusunids Personally thought that The Deep's character development was put into limbo this season. The Church arc went nowhere.
The "Wolverine" was actually an assassin it's very briefly mentioned in the comic almost offhand and that he "is the best at what he does" i.e. a Wolverine joke which in comic is taken literally as a joke.

I like how Victoria Neuman went RIGHT over most viewers heads right up until the end. I sure never made the Vick the Veep connection.
Indeed. Well done 💯👏👏
I read the comics long ago, and I missed that Victoria was supposed to be Vic the Veep.
They are such fundamentally different characters in terms of personality and intelligence.
Missed it completely, great job by writers for that twist
I read the comics for the first time this year, just before I binged season 2, and I still missed that Victoria was from Vic the Veep!
Vic the Veep's a brain dead moron in the comics. He's merely a puppet of vought, and barely does anything. Really glad they decided to change it here.
The comic is porn gore. This show is amazing.
@@Dany-id6kt The comic it's amazing, just because the show is good that doesn't make the comic less awesome.
And I think the comic makes the evil corporation trope better than the show.
@@Dany-id6kt Either you didn't read it or you lacked too much of a spine to look past the gore. The comic certainly has substance, although it has some adolescent shock value to it as well from time to time
tbh I think the boys has proven that people shouldn’t complain about gender/race swapping characters from the source materialprovided that they are improved upon
I agree
When it actually improves the story nobody cares, if it’s done for no reason then a lot of people complain
This isn’t counting sexists thatd complain either way
FacelessBot one example where they did it for no reason was the Witcher.
Its all about the story. If it improves the story then I'm all for it. It improved the story(at least imo) when they gender swapped Stillwell. When they swapped storefront it improves the story. A Train being swapped for a black guy added to his character arc and improved it.. When they swapped Mallory is the only one I have an issue with and it's simply because it doesn't add anything to the story making her a female. But regardless, The Boys should be the standard of how to properly race/gender swap.
@@Jrseydevil I agree, the problem of gender/racial swap is the execution of it. One that comes to mind is the witcher or the little mermaid, both stories are based on medieval european folklore (polish and danish respectively) so the characters have to be caucasian by logic since it’s their culture. In the case of the little mermaid the race swap can work if you set your story in literally any other country outside Scandinavia, but in the witcher you can’t race swap since the characters and settings are based of polish folklore and is essentially stripping the core to the story and without it, it becomes just another fantasy story.
Petition for Victoria to get that hair cut from the comics
😂🤣😂that made me chuckle👍👍

I love how the show has no problem making these sort of changes to the characters. They make it work so well

Same goes for me and rewatching the season, you could see the signs like bruuuh.
I'm usually opposed to arbitrary gender/race swaps but this seems to serve the story rather well. I like the parallels to current events and modern culture, it may not be comic accurate but something like The Boys wouldn't translate well as a perfect recreation.
I low key don’t want to be in the same room as AOC after the twist at the end at the season
Personally she doesn’t look like AOC to me
@@USSAnimeNCC- now that I saw her play her I can never in see her

I predict that Dakota Bob and Neuman will become President and Vice President.... I foresee a time-skip for season 3
Definitely a time skip idk about vp
They may go to moscow for change of scenery in S3
Kinda needs to be a time skip because as it stands, since Black Noir isn't just a clone of HL, His son's probably going to have to help kill him. There's no one else who could potentially square up to him ATM.
Yes, they need time for his son to be a match for Homelander.
@@ratskraad5890 I'd be incredibly hyped if they did a "Glorious Five Year Plan" miniseries.
Very interesting approach, hella different, but I like that both versions of the character are parodies of current political figures.
Yeah exactly!
Was Vic the veep a parody of Bush?
@@zaurhasanov5458 He was yeah, I think it was Ennis who said he was to be portrayed as an exaggerated parody of Bush
So if in the comics the president was a parody of G.W Bush, I hope in the Amazon Prime series the president and Victoria are going to be parodies of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris respectively
In the show Vic’s a head popper, in the comic Vic’s head got popped off
If she's developed well, she can be a great progressive and sympathetic villain like Ozymandias in the Watchmen comics.
This video is mind blowing.....
Okay I'll leave now

The show has done an amazing job of changing the source material that it’s truly impossible to know what’s going to happen and where reading the books won’t be helpful at all for all we know she could be an agent for Vought or she’s in it for herself and she wants to bring down Vought
I agree with you on how good the show is but Victoria works for Vought's interest, there's no room for misconceptions there. Every single thing she did from the beginning was to protect Vought. If you watch the season again, now that you know the twist, it's obvious that her actions always benefit Vought.
@@KroVey just because her action benefit Vaught, doesnt mean she's sympathetic towards them or wants to help them at all. I think she kind of sets Vaught up to give her a platform as a politician. Thats why she killed vogelbaum, if he spilled the beans, vaught would be done for and her whole campaign would become irrelevant. By keeping them around, she benefits herself.
@@yellowhouse4911 this would be so cool. Like it would give the character so much more depth rather than "oh she was working for Vought the whole time!!!!"
0:53: I just love the look of this guy’s face....I bet the artist had a great time drawing this comic....😂👍
Coming back from Season 3, they did such a good job blending so many of the characters into a very dynamic one. You could see Victoria was a strong mix of a few side characters and helps greatly with showing the comic fans there's a great story thread to keep up with.
The Boys show is basically part of the boys multiverse at this point. Different version of the same characters. Gender and race swap just like any alternate reality. I'm fine with that btw.
I’m fine with that too because the show is actually good, when they usually do shit like this it’s the opposite.
Wait when was there a "multiverse"? Or is that a thing that only exists thanks to the show
@@technounionrepresentative4274 Nah it's just something I use to explain and justify changes from books to show. Same as most adapted literature. Game of Thrones, Harry Potter, all the comic book movies. There's always going to be changes either small or big.

Me and *the boys* watching key issues
I always wanted to see this character appear in some form and now we got our wish through Victoria. Imagine Madeline stillwell and Vic the veep in the same room together..
I do like how they change two super boring characters into really engaging characters in a creative way
Victoria Neumann seems clearly a clever woman even if she is a Vought seed, I feel like being treated as a pawn doesn't bother her, that just a way to achieve some kind of goal.
at least she has more brain than her comic counterpart (wich seems to not be that hard to achieve.
I don't think at all she is a Vought seed, on the contrary, I think she is personally ambitious and want to use anti-Vought sentiment to fuel her campaign. You could interpret her killing the FBI Director and the witnesses as helping Vought, but I think it was part of a more insidious plan where she deliberately delayed/worsened the situation until it reaches its apex. She had countless occasions to kill the Boys yet she didn't which makes me think she wanted them to succeed eventually.
@@LadCarmichael I agree, I think she’s trying to let supes get so bad that she can say I told u so and all the Congresspeople who supported them lose their power and job
@@LadCarmichael i mean you could still be right?
So, most of the characters in the comic get gender swaps like Stillwell, Mallory, Stormfront, Neuman and somehow it's still good.
I was hoping that Vas would be gender swapped
I think it's kinda werid now a couple of genderswaps I understand but I think their doing too many male to female characters in my opinion
@@uphaarprasad6980 Okay, I'm curious to what that would result in, but too scared to find out
@@smurk_420 Working in the legal sector I always consider what would happen if the scenario happened on the flip side. If Males ended up taking female roles the world would implode. Now personally, idc. The show has good strong female characters in a show called the boys.
It’s almost like there’s more to the writing than just gender. Hm.
This show and their "Ah ha, the strong female protagonist is ACTUALLY an evil Nazi/Controlled Opposition plant". I love it.

I thought that somehow the G-men were involved. I was working on a theory video... glad i didn't post it haha
Claudia is so beautiful.
Her power isn’t spontaneous combustion. Spontaneous combustion is when a person is set on fire due to internal overheating. What Victoria has is some type of telepathy that allows her to cause explosions. I don’t know what that is called.
Psychokinesis?
@@drago939393 Psychokinesis is the ability to move objects with your mind, so Victoria’s power is related to it, but not exactly psychokinesis. I don’t know if it has an official name, but I would call it psychodetonation, or something similar.
Gotta appreciate the show changing characters generally for the better in comparison to the comics who for the most part had their motives be “just because”
Do a video on Silver Kincaid! Maybe the writers for the show are changing Victoria so much because she’s not JUST meant to be Vic the Veep but a combination of the characters
When you look at Vic the Veep, you see a human man in the comics who is nothing short of a coward and corporate stooge with no autonomy of his own.
(Side Note: I had considered Vic the Veep to be intelligent considering he once owned the business and has a profession in business. Considering he is handicapped however, I blame Vought in the comics for not addressing that thing correctly )
But with Victoria, GB aside, is someone who actually acts like a person with drives. But, as a Vought Employee, she is their inside woman working on two separate fronts. And can literally blow people up at her own discretion. That is disturbing
so they gender swapped Mallory, Stormfront and Neuman. Works though.
and stillwell
@@cydashlee totally overlooked that. Thank you brethren.
@God Almighty Shut up.
Ummmmm.... I would not call her power "spontaneous combustion" that might sound cool, but combustion is the chemical reaction with oxygen, resulting in an exothermic reaction generating heat, light and plasma. There is none of this in her power, it appears to be more like a simple explosion or implosion (which would look basically the same) if you want a cool sounding name for it, "explosive cranial decompression" Is what I would call it... As the associated nose bleeds before the head pop seem to indicate a change in pressure of the cranial cavity until the skull cannot withstand the internal expansion and erupts, much like a pressurized aircraft can at high altitude.
"spontaneous combustion" implies fire and burning.
I said the same thing. That was a profoudly dumb faux pas. The word literally means 'to burn'. I don't even know how someone who is most likely an adult doesn't know what combustion is. Poor education one would assume.
Lads it really doesn't matter can just be a mistake
Tottaly agree on the double agent theory for Victoria Neuman! Vought definitely seems like the type of company that would do that
Anyone here after season 4? Just trying to get some hints about what direction season 5 will go
Knowing that they're Vic the Veep makes season 3 even more worrisome, she's clearly playing every angle with her recent ousting of her own 'father' and with the very minor plotline of Robert Singer for president she is most likely going to run for his VP, and if The Boys are involved in her death, a political murder that high up is going to absolutely make them enemies of the CIA.
Dakota Bob is secretary of defence not a Senator on the show.
I like this live action female version of Vic way better than her male comic book counterpart.
Spontaneous combustion is catching fire. She makes this explode
ComBUSTion.
@Krunchy Vurn Bictim the literal definition of combustion is 'to burn'. You're incorrect.
@@revengeofbcraig5755 the word literally means 'to burn'. Look it up in a dictionary.
You can argue with definitions all you like, but you're still wrong.
Yes, the creator of this video is incorrect. The literal definition is 'to burn'. The fact that people don't know that stands testament to poor education. Two types of explosions are combustion (dynamite or anything else that requires FIRE), and detonation, which requires an electrical charge, ie C4.
@@Axolotl_Mischief And when molecules speed up they heat up. If they get too hot they go bust or explode. Isn’t knowing how science works fun?
I really liked what I have learned both of the ComicBook version of the character that was a male in it known as (VICTOR NEUMAN) & about what the show series version that is a female whose name is (VICTORIA NEUMAN) & to add the differences between the two different versions of them.
Prior to the Boys TV show becoming a massive hit, The Boys was a fairly obscure comic. Its cast of characters were not that well known. It wasn't yet burned into the collective pop culture consciousness. Certainly nowhere near the level of famous comics like Spiderman, Batman, Superman, Avengers, X-Men, etc. I think that's how they were able to get away with the changes in the adaptation such as race and gender swapping. Personally I don't have a problem with it. IMHO the changes seem to improve upon the source material or at least have no negative impact. Of course, you couldn't get away with this so much if the comics and characters were already well known prior to the adaptation. Yeah, I know about the gender swap in the Eternals movie, but even the Eternals comic was not that popular. I mean they gender and race swapped Gazelle in Kingsman: The Secret Service, and I much preferred the movie version to the original comics version.
I like how this show gender swamped many characters BUT actually make it work well.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is actually a U.S. Representative
I know, bugged me too lol
Please make a video on the origin of 'Payback'.
I love the show, they've been able to gender swap and change the characters from the comics and have done a great job.
this seems like it could happen in the show. victoria is now vice president after the other one got killed? dakota bob being an adversary of vought? victoria wanting power? homelander being even more crazy and doing whatever he wants? definitely could happen
Amazing video guys you all keep getting better and better
Maybe Victoria is not bad I mean Mallory was at the Conference And She didn't blow her head off Victoria 's Intentions could Be Good
You guys should do some comic origins videos on Locke & Key
The AOC comparison works
They probably Changed the character design because the Higher Ups in Amazon saw too much of themselves in that character.
You know, normally in any other circumstance I would be so opposed to the intentional changing of a characters base qualities in comics, but that's only ever because it feels forced. "The Boys" which is based on one of my favorite comics, doesn't have that effect on me. it deviates from the comics heavily yet i'm not displeased by the changes. i'm not giving it high praise I just think that's a neat feeling. Originality is always lacking in adaptations.
At the end there you made a mistake. It should be "anti-climactic final showdown"
Hey dude when Are you gonna Do Mallory 's Origin
Found the video and and stayed till the end
I think all the Boys are gonna survive the show, BAR Hughie. The song playing over the final scene of S2 was "Only the good die young." and Hughie is the youngest of them. I dunno, I hope I'm wrong
Turns out that no one dies. Yet.
She's kinda a combination between vic the veep and silver kincaid
That’s what I was thinking!
My favorite young and the restless character
And now she’s the VP, just like Vic the Veep. I honestly don’t know the direction of this show, especially after black noirs death
No one ever mentions that homelander banged vic the veeps head after decapitating him
I want homelander to just go crazy and just starting killing anyone he can just punk anyone to like him or die
I think the final fight between him and butcher will be in the vought tower or white house
@@crimsonhunter7598 honestly the last episode took all anticipation away for me regarding a butcher and homelander standoff. There's literally no point. Butcher doesn't take V, is not even able to slightly inconvenience stormfront and didn't even try to fight homelander, because he knew he wouldn't stand a chance. Unless they establish a "kryptonite" for homelander or have butcher take V, there's no way the final battle is gonna be between those 2.
@@yellowhouse4911 i think the boys will take compound v in the third season because skills and knowledge are not enough but they could also research weaknesses

WHERE IS THE HUGHIE VIDEO?
Vic the Veep is also based off of George W. Bush
I don't read the comics but I knew Vic was gonna be evil. She just showed up too much for being so irrelevant. But I thought she was gonna be stormfront's sister and they were gonna create a civil war in the US or something like that.
One way or another, I hope Homelander still ends up decapitating Neuman in the show. Although I don't think his action after would sit well with everyone. They would probably not include it, that's fine, the decapitation itself is enough.
Butcher while holding Neuman's head: "that a dickhole in the back of it?"
Homelander: "Well, you know how it is."
She's modeled after aoc? Has the character also done nothing of value ?

“Help mah dicky hat.” is the greatest line ever uttered in a comic.
I bet in the next season or three, she become President, Herogasm happens, Homelander "dies", the kid grow up to be a better Homelander but have "issues", Stormfront comes back in a limited role/cameo, etc. The focus will shift to the spinoff... more or less.

Amusing that Victor Neuman is stooge in the comics. I'm 99.99% sure that he's name after the long running character Victor Neuman on the daytime soap opera "Young and the Restless". The Y&R Victor Neuman started out as more or less a super villain (by soap opera standards) and genius businessman, but much later became sort of a good guy.
