Simon's an experienced professional. Catching a snake with bare hands is much easier for him, albeit much riskier, and reduce the chance of causing injury to the snake. Not that I fully agree with him, but I can understand his point of view. Wrangling a dangerous animal wearing full protective gear and using the proper equipments would be the best in term of safety but in reality, it's not the most practical

Everyone that I spoke to about the Black Mamba was afraid of it.... and these were not easily rattled people. For a very good reason, the Black Mamba is literally the fastest, aggressive, most venomous snake on this planet.

"It’s neurotoxic venom is one of nature’s most effective poisons, acting on the nervous system causing paralysis. The venom of a black mamba can kill a human being in four hours if, say, bitten on the ankle or the thumb. However, a bite on the face or torso can bring death from paralysis within twenty minutes. Now you should listen to this, ’cause this concerns you. The amount of venom that can be delivered from a single bite can be gargantuan - you know I’ve always liked that word, “gargantuan”? I so rarely have the opportunity to use it in a sentence. If not treated quickly with anti-venom, ten to fifteen milligrams can be fatal to human beings. However, the black mamba can deliver as much as one hundred to four hundred milligrams of venom in a single bite." - Elle Driver AKA California Mountain Snake.

He doesn't drum up any Hollywood hype to try and exaggerate what is. He never says anything to 'en-awe' the people watching even though he so easily could. I just wish he'd get himself and wear a head lamp..... and never lose respect for these things you are dealing with. For anyone watching this video thinking this is easy for them..
    1. Catching a Black mamba is the most dangerous rescue(venomous snake) in the entire world..
2.The snake can be so aggressive esp because of the warm conditions in Africa and always will be ready to strike in the slightest opportunity it gets..Comes with a Potent venom(Very fast acting, which can kill within 20 minutes depending on the venom load injected and the area of the bite)..
    3. These guys dnt even know where the Snake will be, and peek their heads into holes and places where they can be bitten on their face or neck which almost always is a guaranteed death with this snake..
    4. Even the Greatest Steve Irwin in one of his episodes says, "He gives the utmost respect to this snake than anyother creature in the world"..
    5. They probably catch more than 50 snakes(Only Black mamba), More than 100 if all the other venomous snakes in a Month..Obviously chance of getting bitten rises..
    6. They are Risking their lives each and every moment for the welfare of the snakes just bcoz their Passion for those reptiles..Don't thnk it's for money, they can probly do 1000 other jobs rather than this one..
    7. What makes them more special(All snake rescuers in Africa is) more than the ones in other countries is that in countries like India, Even if snake bites, they can save their lives coz the 4 Venomous snakes in India won't kill as fast as Africa or Australia..In Australia the deaths due to Snakebites is so low eventough they possess the most venomous creatures of the planet is coz of their Advanced and efficient Emergency Medicine unlike Africa where Good Emergency Hospitals are faraway from most places esp Villages, A bite will probably end their life or cause permanent damages..
    8. So, let us all Give our utmost love and Respect to these Brave warriors who are dng a great service to our Wildlife and Environment..Fan from India

The Inland Taipan followed by the Eastern Brown Snake are the most venomous but the Black Mamba speed and temperamental nature makes it very dangerous.

You should contact Dingo Dinkleman about the snakes of South Africa. He has several of every kind in his collection. Very Educational.
I also love these two. They save so many lives.
And it doesn’t matter how poor someone is, they can still be clean. Trash attracts rats which attracts snakes.

I have learnt about snakes from nat geo wild that's from the episodes of snakes in the city. They r professional snake catcher s. In the case of black mamba a bite can kill a human in 30 min, that's one of the deadliest. That's an aggressive one. I would call the black ones as aggressive and the eastern and western green mambas as deadly green🐍🐍
