I really love these challenges and the fact you use whatever geat you want. I think to often survival is heavily confused with living off the land. Everyone wants it to be done with no equipment or very little of it. Being able to live off the land should Include whatever you need to get the job done! Great job boys!
Amen I've already done it with 10 itams for 87 days there is no point in limiting your possibilites not to mention 75 percent of the stuf I did or tired during that 87 day alone in Patagonia is not legal to do here.
@@FowlersMakeryandMischief that's right, it's great to play live off the land until you can no longer live off the land instead its "live within the law" HA HA, Excellent content keep it coming! These series have been great. And huge congratulations on alone!
My opinion is to do it the way you enjoy doing it. Whether it be the minimalist route with $100s worth of gear or glamping with a 100k all terrain camper. Though I don't understand the point to glamping, just rent a hotel room, it is cheaper.
22:11 the wooded beardsman just looks down and shakes his head. Hahahahaha! Dispite some awkward moments they do make a pretty good team. Entertaining for sure. 👍👍
Back in highschool, in the early 1980's we would fish/dip for alewives here in the Machias river, four of us would make $100 each per tide after school selling them as lobster bait. We got commercial fishing licences and went to town. More regs on them now which I don't mind, We often had fish and game biologist come by to see if we were dipping any salmon, which we never did. Our Atlantic Salmon are gone, extant, not extinct but no longer are there any native fish running the rivers all Atlantic salmon are hatchery run fish now. Sad shape our fisher is here on the Maine coast. Closed to cod fishing, once a major haul, shrimp have been closed for a few years, they are also netting the baby eels in the spring, I am sure this puts a dent in the population, although there is no commercial value to the adult eels there it the threat. Whenever the state gets involved and regulate a fish population you know its in trouble.
in this case it's not that it's in trouble they count all the fish that head up steam past the trap and regulate how may are sold so its sustainable so me taking 25 out up steam would ruin everything ;)
@@FowlersMakeryandMischief Oh I think you missed my point. Look at the lobster bait industry, the herring they use mostly for bait is threatened as well, big things happening on that front. Surly the few fish you guys took is not threat the the fish stocks.
