I am not a fan of guitars equipped with Floyds etc.I have learned how to set them up properly out of necessity and do it for some of my friends. Sometimes when the price is at the point I can't refuse I buy it. I always block them exactly how you do it. If I ever sell a guitar I want the buyer to be able just to yank out the block and have a full working trem if they want but considering never sell my stuff I could actually go for a more permanent fix. I have bought the after market trem blocks but for the price $0 of a piece of scrap it much more affordable. I have never bought a guitar new or used with perfect intonation some have been close but not one perfect.
Wouldn't lowering the action out the box, then sizing up the trem block put the intonation out from stock? Even the thickness of the tape a bit... I'm asking but the first does on my guitar so perhaps the intonation was ok from sweetwater. That doesn't excuse a high action on this model in my view. But would sweetwater leave the action alone if all else checked out, especially on a floating trem? Cheers
Intonation-this guitar has a second octave, why have not you checked it? My first majesty was off by a half step and on G almost a whole step off while perfect on the first octave. Had to return it, could not be fixed. The second was almost perfect on each string
Yikes! Ya got me there. I didn't think to check if that one was way out after I got it set at the 12. Hopefully it's good. If not, we here at the shop stand behind our work for a 60 day warranty. I personally back up my work for life. The store also has a 45 day no questions asked return policy. I'll check that next time though. Thanks for watching!
Shouldn't you check the intonation in playing position? I ask as someone who doesn't know everything even though I just trained as a luthier by building my first guitar (it was a success)But I still lack experience because I have fixed and calibrated no more than 20 guitars, maybe I'm wrong about the intonation.
Sweetwater's inspection is b.s., IMO I think they purposely screw up the guitar at sweetwater that they receive from the factory unless you pay for the sweetwater high dollar setup fee, otherwise when you get your guitar through them the guitar is unplayable and totally needs a setup. I returned a guitar I ordered through sweetwater, because it was unplayable, they will never get my business ever!!
Eyeballing intonation like that is a sweet pro flex.
Thanks. It's really just muscle memory. 🤷♂️
I almost bought a Majesty this week.
I bought a Framus Teambuilt Stormbender instead.
It'll be here Monday...
...subbed...
Framus guitars are sooo nice
@RyoCanCan
It arrived early.
It's a work of art.
I inherited some money, and I had an opportunity to buy my dream guitar.
R.I.P. dad...
12:51 Won't hear that from me. Keep at it, your doing a real good job!
Thanks for watching! I appreciate it!!

I agree 100%! Floyds are fun for a minute but then I never use them again. Thanks for watching!

Yes to a small degree. Not as much as this was out though. Thanks for watching.

I say this about intonation because when you put it in table position the tuning changes slightly compared to the playing position.
Nice guitar
