- The Syracuse Orange regrouped at halftime and came back from a big deficit to beat Colgate, 79-75. Syracuse erased a 24-point Colgate lead and outscored the Raiders 49-29 in the 2nd half. Chris Bell led the way for the Orange with 25 points while Judah Mintz added 23 points, 8 assists and 3 steals in the win. The Orange allowed the Raiders to hit 8 three-pointers in the first half and held them to just 1 made shot from three-point range after the break.

Wow. Really impressed how Colgate spread the floor and ran their offense. A very well coached team. Then impressed by SU's defensive intensity in the second half. And man-to-man at that. Happy for Cuse and coach Autry. Gonna be an interesting season.
It’s still early happy for the win but definitely a little concerned especially since we have Tennessee next this can’t happen against a team of that caliber BUT good win

Great comeback! Nice to see them not give up! However being down 24 pts vs Colgate is unacceptable. Rebounding needs to improve a lot. Got out rebounded 44-33 vs Colgate… And players need to make open 3s and easy lay ups. Team defense has been bad all season.
Colgate is a damn good team….basketball is way different than football. Go cuse!
@@vampedout91 Colgate has been the best team in Patriot league the last few years and they could again be the best this year. However this is a team that only beat Brown 72-70. Yes I’ll enjoy the win, but there is no excuse for Syracuse to be down by 24 points against Colgate. If they play like that in ACC, it would be tough to win any games.
Down 24 to anyone is unacceptable but don’t discount Colgate, they’re a very good basketball team with experience and a few NCAA tourneys under their belt the last few years
@@SteadyRock91 Colgate just got blown out vs Yale 78-60… I don’t think they are good as last year’s team… I’m still lost how this Syracuse was down 24pts against them… I mean Yale crushed them… I don’t want to be negative but I think realistically this Syracuse team will struggle in ACC and be on the bubble again
This team does not have shooters rely too much 1 v 1 for scoring not gonna get it done against tenn. Hopefully i am wrong and they pull off a win

Barely beating Colgate to avoid losing 3 straight years is just not good enough to put the SU program on track to be a national powerhouse again. Really disappointed.
