  • The Orange had to hold on late to get a win over the Cardinals, 94-92. A goaltending call on a fast break layup attempt by Syracuse's Quadir Copeland with 3.8 seconds left in the game ended up being the deciding basket. Chris Bell was red hot from behind the three-point arc for the Orange, hitting 8 of 10 three-point attempts and finishing the game with a career-high 30 points. Judah Mintz had 21 points and JJ Starling added 19 points. Skyy Clark led Louisville with 23 points, five assists, and three steals. Tre White and Brandon Huntley-Hatfield each recorded a double-double. White had 17 points and 12 rebounds and Huntley-Hatfield had 19 points and 13 rebounds.

Incorrect. Ball was blown dead by the ref. Should have been overturned and then given to possession arrow which was UL. Refs blew it.

As far as the GoalTend!.......It wasn't a GoalTend! The ball was still in upwards trajectory & HAD NOT made contact with either the rim or backboard, thus far Kaleb Glenn's effort was a Great Block & the shitty bottom of the barrel dirty ref took that away from Glenn & the UofL Cardinals.

Acting like brown didnt put it in right after. I mean bad ref but wouldn’t have changed much

@@IDK-mr2nmyes it would have. The reversal of the call would’ve made it cardinals ball so the put back didn’t matter. It would’ve been tied at 92-92

@@isaiahkelly636 Reversing the goaltending call would have given SYR the ball under their basket with 3.8 seconds on the clock because SYR had possession after the goaltending call. Syr had one TO remaining. The call gave Louisville a chance to win the game. Without the call, Syracuse would have had the last shot of the game to win it and they only needed two (or even one if the shooter was fouled).
I thought the call helped Louisville, they just missed the final shot.
