During the latter time of my employment I was treated differently, treated unfairly, many unsubstantiated allegations/accusations was made against me by my line manager. I expected HR to be fair, however they kept supporting my line manager which made things worst.
I was advised to take out a formal grievance so I honestly, truthfully believed that a proper and thorough investigation based on all the evidences that I produced would get these matter resolved, once and for all. Unfortunately, all aspects of my grievance was upheld. It was very disappointing that my complaint wasn't taken seriously. They didn't follow the grievance procedure or ACAS grievance procedure.
I admit that my union representative predicted the outcome would be unfavourable to me. So it is true that it's very unlikely that many employers don't take formal grievance seriously. Also, some of them drag it out to cover the 3 month period and don't do proper investigations. But, as you've mentioned it does lay the foundation of a strong tribunal case. Thanks for sharing this video.
Peace & Love, Queen Ester, UK
