I think I was standing in the same spot and had the same reaction when the dam first broke. Just staring at the rushing water not knowing what to do until it crashed into me. It was one of my favourite moments in my playthrough. Glad you're enjoying the DLC, it's really something special to revisit Outer Wilds again. It's true you can only experience it once.
Thank you for the stream, Ame! The DLC really captivated you! I really like the DLC's light mechanic and integration into the original game lore wise. The new area was believably well hidden from people who played through the original game, and the entrance really did give us a good hint on the light stuff. The light mechanic felt familiar to the original game's quantum mechanic, too. And now we get some nice Ame DLC streams to throw back to your original playthrough, too!
The atmosphere of this game is definitely its strongest suit. From the pixar-like model and texture designs, mesmerizing ost, down to the finer details like the font used for the dialouge, everything about the game fills you with a warm cozy feeling. Which is ironic, considering the planetary extinction undertone of the plot.
This game is so great. I had a lot of fun watching you explore and piece everything together bit by bit, it's pretty enthralling in a way. Just taking in the atmosphere with you at times is really nice as well. Good luck with the collab tomorrow, and I look forward to watching you finish the DLC whenever you're able to

Watching Ame be so intensely engaged by the DLC was great. Every minute of that was enjoyable. All of Ame's Outer Wilds streams have been utterly incredible, and this was no exception... right up there with the very best.

This was one hell of a stream, very happy that I was here for the whole thing I was wondering how much Watson enjoyed the game but I guess this being her longest stream speaks for itself. Never played or watched the base game myself but played the DLC with a friend and had an absolute blast. It took some doing but we were able to figure everything out together and it felt so rewarding to be able to say we did. My friend figured out one lock that I could safely say I wouldn't have solved on my own and immediately after I saw the solution to the last one, we had the biggest grin on our faces. I don't remember the last time I felt that way playing a game but I certainly hope it won't be the last.

I was scared of the dlc when I first heard about it because outer wilds is my favorite game of all time and I didnt think the dlc could be on the same level as the base game but I was so wrong! The way they linked the events to the base game, so perfect.
I enjoyed finally catching up with this stream now that I finished the DLC myself. I can't wait to see your reaction to the next bit, the game only builds and builds, it's a great puzzle (although it might get a bit spooky). And the devs are so good at thinking of everything! Every detail in the game is meaningful, it's pretty amazing to discover it all.

So, the anomaly is exactly 10 kilometers above of timber heart when you launch quickly, and when its dam breaks it quickly moves away from the sun. To find it the first time you QUICKLY must fly to the satellite without bumping into it (autopilot likes to crash into). The angle from the radio station, that puts the anomaly between sun and satellite, only works once.
So happy to see Amelia enjoy this game, it's such a quiet peaceful adventure... for the most part 😄 I love this game + dlc so I'm glad to see others appreciating this game as well

I think I was standing in the same spot and had the same reaction when the dam first broke. Just staring at the rushing water not knowing what to do until it crashed into me. It was one of my favourite moments in my playthrough.

I really like the DLC's light mechanic and integration into the original game lore wise. The new area was believably well hidden from people who played through the original game, and the entrance really did give us a good hint on the light stuff. The light mechanic felt familiar to the original game's quantum mechanic, too. And now we get some nice Ame DLC streams to throw back to your original playthrough, too!

The atmosphere of this game is definitely its strongest suit. From the pixar-like model and texture designs, mesmerizing ost, down to the finer details like the font used for the dialouge, everything about the game fills you with a warm cozy feeling. Which is ironic, considering the planetary extinction undertone of the plot.

This game is so great. I had a lot of fun watching you explore and piece everything together bit by bit, it's pretty enthralling in a way. Just taking in the atmosphere with you at times is really nice as well.

Never played or watched the base game myself but played the DLC with a friend and had an absolute blast. It took some doing but we were able to figure everything out together and it felt so rewarding to be able to say we did. My friend figured out one lock that I could safely say I wouldn't have solved on my own and immediately after I saw the solution to the last one, we had the biggest grin on our faces. I don't remember the last time I felt that way playing a game but I certainly hope it won't be the last.

I was scared of the dlc when I first heard about it because outer wilds is my favorite game of all time and I didnt think the dlc could be on the same level as the base game but I was so wrong! The way they linked the events to the base game, so perfect.

I enjoyed finally catching up with this stream now that I finished the DLC myself. I can't wait to see your reaction to the next bit, the game only builds and builds, it's a great puzzle (although it might get a bit spooky). And the devs are so good at thinking of everything! So, the anomaly is exactly 10 kilometers above of timber heart when you launch quickly, and when its dam breaks it quickly moves away from the sun. To find it the first time you QUICKLY must fly to the satellite without bumping into it (autopilot likes to crash into).
The angle from the radio station, that puts the anomaly between sun and satellite, only works once.
So happy to see Amelia enjoy this game, it's such a quiet peaceful adventure... for the most part 😄
