The reverb on the Kemper sounds GREAT. Lovely guitar and amazing demo.

@@dver4624 thank you! Yes the kemper has some incredible reverb patches, I have 2 set up, one is a room and one is the aftermath setting. Switch it with footswitch to create trails to the chords.

It’s so cool to see them do something different with an acoustic. I feel colors and things like that custom pick guard breathe air into such a common selection when it comes to acoustics. I would actually buy one if I was looking for an acoustic.

Agreed. Although I do think that every guitar, including acoustic guitars, should have a couple of standard colour options and black should be a standard finish on ALL Gibson acoustics. And I would love to see Martin doing the same with their best selling models too. I mean, they already print the tops of some of their guitars. How difficult can it be to print a solid black top? Although, I would like to see them having a high gloss finish on the entire guitar, not just the top. It just looks classy to me. Why would a grand concert piano look classier than any other colour and why would that be different for guitars? Look at the black D-35 for Johnny Cash, or the 000 for Paul Simon. These guitars are gorgeous!
Actually, I think I do know why a lot of people wouldn’t want to see solid colours on acoustic guitars. There are a number of reasons: (1) History. Guitars have always been built showing the bare wood. (2) Purists want to see the grain of the wood on a guitar. Some people think they can tell the quality by looking at the grain and the lack of knots in the wood. (3) Black on sunburst models have been used for many years to cover up inconsistencies in the wood of guitars. Actually, this is true to this day and that’s probably the reason why when you see a guitar finished in black it’s usually a cheap guitar made out of plywood.
Still, when you need to pay 3500 to 10 grand (euros/pounds/dollars) for an acoustic guitar, it’s fair to assume that you’re paying for a GOOD guitar.
I’d kill for a black J-200. It’s the first guitar I ever saw that I’ve always remembered. I think I was only 7 years old and on the television was this program called Toppop. Emmylou Harris was on. I had no idea who she was, but this young kid thought she looked amazing and funny, because she wasn’t the tallest girl and she was skinny and the black guitar she was playing looked gigantic! It always made me laugh. That guitar is every bit as iconic to me as any other famous guitar out there. Look it up. It’s on RUclips. Back then I only saw the song ‘C’est la vie’, but when I saw it back a couple of years ago on RUclips, it became clear that she actually played two mini concerts there, one mini concert for two years in a row. Albert Lee was in that band too. I’m not a fan of country music in general, but man, she had a super group at the time!
      Anyway, I digress. Sorry. 😬

The best Acoustic Pickup in my experience is the LR Baggs M1 Active put through a Solid State Amp or straight into a P.A., forget about Acoustic Amps, they sound horrible in my opinion!
