When I worked in a school I ran knitting classes for students at lunch time. A number of boys joined and they were some of the best knitters. It is great for learning sequencing, helps students with math. Football/soccer coaches have had players learn knitting to help them learn patterns and sequencing to help them learn plays. Great job in teaching your grandson to knit!
Honestly knitting/crochet and other things like it are so good for ADHD (and maybe autism but I haven't been diagnosed with that yet) I started learning crochet back in elementary school and having something to do with my hands really helps me focus on things sometimes, especially once I got good enough at it that I didn't have to pay so much attention to my stitches.
Oh Bella, those bags are gorgeous. Knitters and crocheters could use them for their yarn so the ball doesn't move all over the place if you know what I mean. Beautiful work. Love the bags 🩷🧡💛💚
