    After 9000 hours of game dev

    Dafluffypotato, how did you make the water for your other game you're working on? Could you maybe make a tutorial on that sometime? I really want to see how to do it in detail!

      @DaFluffyPotato  2 года назад +2

      There are other good sources online if you just search for 2D water physics. It’s pretty much the same for all languages/libraries.

      @@DaFluffyPotato Thanks for the quick reply!
      I just looked through around 10... I can't seem to find anything.
      Do you use math sine waves or a type of wave for the water?

    Dafluffypotato, I am working on a game right now (with python) and really don't know what to add to my menu. What are some vital things on a main menu?
    What I have:
    - title
    - level select
    - options
    Love ur videos!

      My guess is if you keep developing your game, there will be more and more things you will need to add

      I would put a quit option for a PC game, but otherwise keeping the main menu simple is a great idea. The better question to ask is "what must a user have quick access to immediately upon starting?" The answer depends greatly on your game and the players expectations for that genre.

    i have a question : i have a goal of making a modified version of minecraft to be more like a mmorpg with so many classes and the ability to create your own skills! (of course there is a limitatiion to what u can create) can pygame handle this or the program will be just very slow
    thank u :)

      Don’t do 3D in Pygame

    • @varient3217
      @varient3217 2 года назад +2

      Don't do it, pyame is only 2d use an engine for that kind of stuff, or if you wanna just program use java and lwjgl.

    What learning regime would you recommend for someone trying to get better at game dev and programming in general?

    • @TimBeaudet
      @TimBeaudet 2 года назад +5

      I recommend just get started and doing. Watching / reading endless tutorials will let you get better at following instructions, but actually doing things and trying to solve the problems without finding a ready answer, is the way to build the skills. It is hard, but stick with it and you'll get there.
