thanks for the guide on normal (I just started, got the base game for free in a steam promo) I find out that just maxing the pets (wolves, liche, sylvan) clears the map with zero problems and no need for me attacking
lol no bro. casters need a lot of farming before being decent. compared to attackers like warrior defender and hunter where its guarantee for upgrade almost every boss encounter
I just finished the "Minions" achievement with this build! Finished normal difficulty with less than 100 enemies killed myself. Also had only 10 deaths!
I find it strange and contradicting that you say putting points into Health is not needed. You even said you're using a lot of % health items, together with Heart of the Oak which also increases your health by a %. Having a high base health pool is just really good to have. Also for Death ward. I also question your choice of putting so many points into your own staff attack with Ternion Attack. That's a lot of skill points for something you use at the very end of your rotation, when everything is almost dead already. And it also limits your weapon choices like you mentioned. For sure not something to put points into while leveling, not until very late game at least. Regrowth i'm on the fence about. You want your wolves to drop to low health, so they get their buff but they only get that buff for 6 seconds so not 100% on this yet as it would be better for them to drop from high to low health more often. without regrowth they stay low health for much longer than 6 seconds. but you could argue that simply re-summoning them is the way to go. Maybe doing this build your way is better for this x-mas mod I don't know much about it. Never played with it. But for someone looking for a guide to level as a Soothsayer without this mod, I think they should focus more on buffing pets +dmg to pets on items while leveling, instead of relying on some staff they may never be able to get.
thinking about it a bit more, I think regrowth is indeed needed. after a fight the wolves are low health most of the time. well below 33%. so for the next fight they don't get the buff if you don't heal them in between.
you don't put points into base health because you want to use your skill points to increase damage and stuff you need to equip gear. You will severely gimp yourself by going full survivability with skill points (I know as I have before). I am someone who prioritizes survivability over every thing else and i have gimped many characters in this game doing that. I recommend you check out Icefrzzy too in Titanquest, he is a better player than me and you can see what he does. He builds everything glass cannon though which is a bit diff from me
Shouldn't Soothsayer be using Archmages Clasp for the recharge? Edit: Holy shit skipping outlander, why are you even in Spirit then just play Dream instead.
i try not to use -recharge gear on these builds i make because -recharge is VERY gear specific and it creates a build that you can't use unless you stack -recharge. I try to design these builds to work with the most gear combos possible so they appeal to the largest audience possible. Essentially these videos are more explaining the skills and what work well together and synergies well than it is me telling you "this is the best way to play this class"
You use it to heal your pets or do you play with others? I dont think even Icyfreeze uses that skill on his Soothsayer and he knows significantly more about the game than I do.
Love this build miss running this build
thanks for the guide

Of course you need health, but not from attribute points. They are more valuable in order to get items.

Why no pet gear?
Pet gear is terrible in terms of how minor the damage increase is. I've tried it and never liked it, I consider it a waste of a slot.
