    The drummer is Masaharu Ishikawa I believe. He's not seen on video often, but I guarantee you he's a legend in many j-fusion albums. Especially the Katsumi Horii band

    It seems that the "Pit Inn" is a very popular venue for Jazz-Fusion artists in Japan.

      +David A I think just about every jazz-related Japanese band through the 1970s to 1990s played at the Roppongi Pit-Inn.

      Yeah Pit Inn is a very known jazz venue in Tokyo, opened in 1965, ever since almost every japanese jazz band played there at least once.

      Still it is, different tempo and more jazz-rock style instead of the smooth-jazz style of Lee Ritenour, but please listen carefully and you can't miss it

      You asked this a long time ago, but it may be a Carvin brand guitar. Guys like Allan Holdsworth used them quite a bit.
