Thank you so much! I had the opposite problem. Bought this microwave used and they had it set to roof ciculation. I needed to put it back to recirculation Ta Da! Easily done!
You saved us with your video, we were ready to return it, thinking we have a faulty product. Flipping the vent to the roof got complicated for us because we kept trying to attach the wire first & it was too short. But when you just dropped it in then connect the wire it solve the problem. Then we realized we’ve been doing the hard way. Thank you so much for you video. It was our savior.😅👍🙏

Oh man! I had replaced my microwave over 3 years ago and kept default as is. I was always thinking that how to make this steam go out and all of sudden, just searched for it and found only this video and was absolutely perfect for me. Took 15 minutes to switch back. Tons of appreciation for making this video. Now, thinking how to make suction strong as it does good work for the stove underneath but the one which are outer side, it's not pulling everything to vent out.
Thanks for the tutorial, my project is actually backwards, I need recirculation. Your video was si good that you gave me the knowledge that I need to do it.
After pointing the fans up, is there noticeable air coming out the front of the microwave or should you not feel anything? Unsure if my installer pointed the fans upwards on on mine?
Did you ever get a response for this question? What was the answer? I feel air coming from the front of my microwave and want to make sure mine was installed correctly
Good question, when it comes from the factory, the fan blows air out of the front pointing up. Using the video you can change the fan to blow air straight up through ducting to go up through your roof👍
Did you buy the adaptor separate for that metal flap that you feed into the existing exhaust pipe in the cabinet? What model microwave was this? Thanks for vid!
Have the same, and the venting sucks on it ....not in a good way. I and hold a pot of boiling water directly uner the filter and it doesn't pull at all. Researched and the air channels inside make no sense for air flow.
Why did they install my mom's that way when the exhaust ducting was already there? I never understood. Thank you man! My mom is about to think I'm a hero genius when I fix this. Been that way for 4years she says
The installer was probably either lazy or in a rush and didn’t care to take the time to switch it. Evidently it doesn’t even take very long to switch it before they put it up so I’m leaning on the side of lazy

"Here we have a Whirlpool Dishwasher" I barely caught that slip and it cracked me up.
Too early in the morning for filming😂😂

Where can I get that little piece to bridge the ducting?

That's the craziest dishwasher I've ever seen! 😆 Other than that, great video!
Must’ve been one of my more tired days😂
Nice video, saved me a whack of work, I didn't believe the instructions that said it's set "out of the box" to recirculate.
Thanks Mike😊
The back draft flap is pretty noisy is when fan stops blowing air .. is that normal?
Is this normal?
