It's mostly all improv but the main events and timeframe are scripted (Dream and Wilbur are the main story writters!!). And during this recording, the plot was that Tommy was sent to exile by Dream as punishment for something so he was confined into staying at the place with the tents and not allowed through the portal. Hope that clears things up!! :) Also the video Drista and Tommy were talking about was this really embarassing clip of Tommy where he is just lipsyncing a Bruno Mars song and he was made fun on twitter for that. //spoilers for storyline, mentions of roleplay manipulation and suicidal thoughts I'm just watching this now and it's really interesting how the canon seeps into this more light-hearted episode because Tommy and Dream were still slightly in character. It was also interesting seeing the reactions of people who hadn't seen the roleplay react to those moments- with such confusion at the sudden change in tone. It really shows how good the content creators are at acting. Like just the way Dream would say that Tommy wasn't allowed back, and that if he did go back he would take back the computer and kill him. It was so matter of fact- and character Tommy had just accepted it at this point. And the way Tommy would talk at some points were concerning- how next time Drista came, he was sure he would be dead. His character had accepted at that point that he was going to die soon- either by his hand or Dream's. Tommy's ripped up clothing. The sadness in his voice when he explained how isolated he was. How he kept mentioning that he thought Tubbo wasn't real- in this video, it's more of a joke, but in the VODs it was actually something the character believed. Goddamn this roleplay is good.

I got a story about small children (at or under the age of 5). My family (from my grandparents on my mother's side down) travels to a lake "resort" place annually. And when my little cousin was around 3-4 ish, I was down by the water with some of my older cousins, and I was being taught how to skip a rock on the water, and I was taking a break to watch one of my older cousins demonstrate, and I saw my little cousin pick up a rock, too big for him to hold with one hand, and chuck it at my older cousin, it hit her in the forehead and split it open and was gushing with blood. I think she was lucky because not only is her mother a doctor, but almost all of our aunts and uncles had medical reflated jobs. But that was pretty traumatizing for my 8 year old self. Kids can do a lot of damage.
Just to clarify, why tommy was freaked out that drista gave him the block is because that block is unbreakable no matter WHAT. Also i enjoyed the video

so the dream smp is a roleplaying server, where they have a kind of script of stories. but its not a full scripts its more like points they have to get through. and some lines they plan together, some by themselfes but most are on the spot inprov. Everyone gets 3 canon lives, and to loose a life it has to be planned out by the writers. At this point tommy was on 1 life, and was exiled from the lands, and was brought to a far away island. And if he didn’t follow dreams rules he would kill him and take his last life. Hope this helps
