that upper looks great! maybe I'll go for a shorter distance than usual and try and set a new PB in these. although that wider area for the forefoot doesn't sound great, I like the usual nike snugness. Great video mate
Just curious how you'd stack this one up against the Tempo Next Percent as 5/10K racer (even though the later is technically "illegal" and an AF training companion)? Solid review as always and keep up the good work!
Thank you🙏🏽Im one of the few ppl that enjoyed the tempo next%. It is considerably heavier than the Streakfly. The tempo next% offers more durability and is more versatile across a range of paces and running in it is closer to my natural running style. However if it’s simply about which is faster for 5K, the Streakfly is my recommend.
Appreciate the feedback! I have both the Tempo and Endorphin Speed 1 that I've used in the 5/10k with solid results so hard to justify picking up the Streakfly and just looking for an excuse to pull the trigger I guess lol. Prolly smarter to hold tight with those two and put that $ towards a new carbon half/full racer on sale. Cheers sir!
I just found them at Ross for $55 Have not worn yet. I have trouble believing they are faster than AlphaFly. I got them at Marshalls for $80 last year. Those things do all the running for you. It's like impossible to go slow.
I’m still going back and forth. I like the lightweight and ground contact of the Streakfly. However the overall cushioning in the Vaporfly leaves me feeling fresh even when I’m running hard, so I feel like I can run faster. Got a race coming up and will let you know which one I decide. 💪🏾
I have about 125 miles in them. These are the shoes I use for most of my track workouts and when Im feeling fit, my go to shoe for the 5k. Im about due for a new pair, just because I like that new shoe feeling for racing, but I will continue to use my current pair for training.
I wouldn't suggest these for daily use based on them being primarily racing shoe. I tend to use them racing and specific speed workouts. Probably a 200 mile shoe before I replace them.
Could you point me to what tests that you are referencing? I’m not following why a ASICS training shoe was compared to a Nike racing shoe based on running economy.
thanks for the review - just ordered a pair for my track sessions!
Jordan+running shoes= 🤩
Appreciate it 🙌🏾

Appreciate that! Yeah I miss the "nike snugness" as well. Thanks for watching.
Thanks for the info ! Still looking to get these in orange!!

Thank you for the review running my first ever 5k next week. The tips have been great.
Glad it helped!
How’d you do?
Nice review, the shoe kinda looks like an Alphafly with the second layer cut off.
I just found them at Ross for $55

Dang, I would blow out the exposed foam if I was still a heel striker. Would you rather invest in these vs the original vapor fly next % flyknit?

@@JordanThomasmedia what did you use !?
solid review.., if I was a touch faster.., I would mess with these. if I was a bit lighter as well
your speed and/or weight shouldn't stop you from trying these out.
Your reviews are helpful. What is the shoes status as of today? How many miles on it? Anything tears apart?
I have about 125 miles in them. These are the shoes I use for most of my track workouts and when Im feeling fit, my go to shoe for the 5k. Im about due for a new pair, just because I like that new shoe feeling for racing, but I will continue to use my current pair for training.
How is this for everyday use?
would recommend these primarily for faster runs and races
Would the streakfly be a good option for an all out 2 mile run ?? (3200m)??
This could be a good option if you are running on the road, however for the track you might want to try out track spikes.
How is the durability on this shoe for daily use?
I wouldn't suggest these for daily use based on them being primarily racing shoe. I tend to use them racing and specific speed workouts. Probably a 200 mile shoe before I replace them.
Still ok after 700km. Some scratches only
So these not good for doing sprints?
You can do sprints in them.
running economy tests show this has no benefit to running economy and is slower than asics daily trainer. alphafly is fastest

@@JordanThomasmedia pretty interesting page. good data, obviously low study size but still very good data to show the facts and not the "feeling"
Just looks too light
