★やまだとしおからのメッセージ
20年前、笑顔文字を携帯の絵文字から思いつきました。
文字に笑顔を入れることによって、何かメッセージ力をプラスできたらと思ったのです。
人生いろんなことがあるけど、つらい時、悲しい時ほど笑顔を忘れないでいよう。
そうしたら、自分の顔、名前の顔に笑顔が入ったら、「がんばらなあかんな」というようなメッセージ力が伝わったらと思つて描き続けています。
似顔絵も対面で元気になってくださる方の笑顔を見たくて描いてると思います。
ある病院の白血病の子どもたちが、外と遮断されて、夏祭りもクリスマスもできないことで笑顔がなくなっていました。
写真を撮って笑顔の似顔絵と名前にも笑顔を入れてを描きました。
子どもたちもですが、親御さんたちが本当に喜んでくださいました。
また3.11東日本大震災のの1年後に宮城県の石巻市に新聞社と笑顔文字と似顔絵を描くために同行しました
そこに来られた方々は亡くなった方に対して生きていることが申し訳ないという想いで悲しみに暮れていました。その時もただ元気になっていただきたいという想いで遺族の方も亡くなった方も笑顔で似顔絵を何枚も何枚も描かせていただきました。津波に流されて写真のない方はお名前に笑顔を入れました。
みなさんが涙を流して喜んでくださった姿を見て、この笑顔文字をもっと伝えたいと思うようになりました。

Twenty years ago, I came up with the smile character from a cell phone emoji.
I thought that by adding a smile to the letters, I could add some kind of message.
There are many things in life, but don't forget to smile when you're having a hard time or when you're sad.
I continue to draw, hoping that if I can put a smile on my face, or the face of my name, it will convey the power of a message that says, "You have to do your best."
I think I draw caricatures because I want to see the smiles of people who are cheerful when I meet them.
Children with leukemia in a hospital lost their smiles because they were cut off from the outside world and could not attend summer festivals or Christmas.
I took a picture and drew a smiling portrait and a smile in the name.
The children were really happy, but the parents were really happy.
Also, one year after the 3.11 Great East Japan Earthquake, I accompanied a newspaper company to Ishinomaki City in Miyagi Prefecture to draw smiling characters and portraits.
The people who came there were filled with sorrow, feeling sorry that they were still alive for the deceased. At that time, I drew many portraits of the bereaved and the deceased, with a smile on their faces, just to make them feel better. For those who were swept away by the tsunami and do not have photos, we added a smile to their names.
Seeing everyone cry tears of joy made me want to tell more about this smiling face.
Maybe those who watch this RUclips video will think, "Let's live!" and get well!
