Hey mate. Just installed one on my 24 and was wondering if you were still happy with the factory temp setting? Going to be doing a bit of beach / trail riding around Central Queensland and don’t want to have any dramas.
    Cheers mate. Love the videos

nice work Steve. Had a KTM original priced at $85 more, just for the guy at the shop tell me that its a trailtech re-badged, and thats the only difference besides paying more! that was for a model that has a thermo sensor that screws in! huh?
loving my 350 as well just need to take it out for a proper ride besides around a paddock!
Front wheel still likes to come up, with a bit of jab in 3rd! he he he.

Great installation video. Wouldn't the paste be a conductive paste to enable the sensor to better sense radiator temperature? A glue or epoxy I would think would do the opposite and insulate the sensor from sensing temperature properly. Just my thought. Thanks

That should do the trick! Don't drop that temp gauge on a rock tho dang it looks a little exposed. Good video mate :)

Why did you say you need access to the water pump? I don’t see you doing that in the video? Couldn’t you install the fan without draining the fluid???

Watch your battery bro, they suck the power big time when they switch on. Got the same fan on my new beta 200. Running voltage is 14.1. With the fan running she comes down below 11. In the really tough stuff it could leave you hanging. Check what it draws in the shed👌🏻

@@BrokenSprocket All good, thats why I like the channel, you show it all.👍 If I got one of these and it was sticking, Id have thot-- Broken Sprocket didn't have any problems at all - it must be me. but seeing this I know "its the bike its not me"🤣 heheh, but enough about RHK brake disc guards 😲 Good job fixing those too 🔨🪓💣 Take care thanks for the responses- real helpful 👍😎

i never liked the trailtech because of the temp fan , its nowhere near accurate, but then you don't need to cut your hose to add in in the loop ... good job man
p.s I don't like the fact that the radiator hooks up directly to the batter , no kick start and a lot of stalling will be a lot of trouble

Man, you can install a fan on the yz450fx in about 5 minutes!! This was a fail on KTM’s part! I still like the KTM but little things like this make zero sense. You think for almost 12k they would include a fan.

Why is the temp screen mounted down at the radiator, that seems....like a very dumb design.

The factory KTM one is the same.

@@BrokenSprocket oh really..I wonder what the reasoning was. I'd rather not have to get off my bike to check if it's getting hot or not....

@@Velcrochicken1 you have the option to buy the fan that runs off the ecu sensor, it plugs into the spare plug under the tank and you connect a relay inside the air box to a spare plug.... only difference is it isn't programmable like the one that runs the display
