When my sister was born, my dad was in the hospital waiting room. He heard my sister crying loudly and turned to the man next to him and said “That’s my one.”
This video has made me laugh and giggle a lot of all these funny stories! 😂

When I was being born, the doctor apparently told my mum to put less effort into screaming and more into pushing. Also, my older brother was almost born on the bathroom floor because mum mistook her contractions and thought she needed to use the loo.
When giving birth to my now one year old son, my husband was holding my leg up and being super supportive before saying "Hi Aaron, I'm your dad!"
He said that before our son even started crying. He was in a daze after we heard our son cry for the first time. So sad, but so beautiful. After skin on skin with me and him getting his first shots, my husband held the swaddled, slightly cone headed baby I just gave birth to and kept muttering promises of always keeping him safe and protected, that we will always be there for him.
He is a wonderful dad. I knew he was going to be from the day we met. He means all of those sweet everything's he muttered.
My sister was over 11lbs at birth and my mom's ob didn't approve of pain meds.

I had my baby in 2000, and only had one ultrasound at 8 weeks (too early to know gender, and too early to predict birth weight). When I went in for delivery, I had planned no meds. It hurt like a mo-fo, and I changed my mind about meds, but it was too late for an epidural, so I had no choice but to carry on. The pushing part didn't take long and the pain wasn't as bad. Baby popped out at 10 lb 6 oz. Midwife says all that weight made that baby come out pretty quick! (and I'm guessing probably hurt less over all because it was only 4 1/2 hours instead of the 12, 24, or 36 hour labors you hear about for 1st babies).

At my first c-section i had asked my husband to take pics. He looked over the screen, then back at me and said "nope, no way. It looks like Silence of the Lambs."
Not sure what the response was, but he had a car door off the vehicle he was working on when my mom went into labor with me. Didn't have time to bolt them back on, so he clicked it in and drove my mom to the hospital, forgot about the door and it dropped on his foot when he was letting mom out. She went one way in the hospital, he went another way XD
When I was born my dad was working for cox and was installing WiFi at someone’s house in their closet setting up the router and then my mom called him to tell him she was going into labor, His reaction? He started sobbing in that same closet, the house owners were confused AF about why the WiFi man was crying in their closet. Though his tears of joy turned into tears of terror as I was as bluer than sonic the hedgehog and was born at 5 months.
Kind of on topic, my mom said when she woke up my dad to tell him her water broke he jumped out of bed and started sweeping. She asked wtf he was doing and he said, "I HAVE to clean the BABY is coming!"

Mine birth was a funny one. I am considered a premature baby. Funnily enough if I was born a day later I wouldn’t be considered as a premature baby. My mom had no sleep within a 24-48 hours and also had. My dad was deployed away in the military. My mom also had to deal with my toddler older brother, and if we were 10 minutes late getting to the military hospital from the blizzard we were going through, I would have been born in the hospital elevator. My mom said I was the scariest birth but also easiest to push out I was the smartest one she had. I also was born with Meconium and my umbilical cord was wrapped around my neck. My mom was only in labor for 1-2 hours.
Edit: My older brother was a typical birth, my younger brother was a sunny side up baby, and my youngest brother was just a big baby and slightly late by 2 weeks
Kinda related but apparently one of the first things i ever did was get my ears complimented by the midwife that i proceeded to pee all over
