It's not very often you see a good Pontiac let alone one dam near pulling 1,000 HP You got me anxious to pull my 70 Trans Am out have no idea what is involved in pulling 1,000 I pull in the 700's and thought anything above 800 HP was a pipe dream.. I'd love to see a video showing parts and assembly specs if it's not Top Secret Rock On Keep Pontiac as the Street Judge and Jury 👍😉😅😎
@@JohnHawkinsLV it’s pretty straightforward. 14.5:1, 380+ wideports, ported Victor, 1250 Holley, 50mm cam with 4/7 swap and in the 280/290 @ .050 range...I almost have it installed. Got to a point on it and then all my other chores came due...lol hope to make my first race in it at the end of May...it’s a sanctioned street race near where I live...
Thank you Drew... we enjoy it. In September we are taking it to a super cool all Pontiac Show and Race at Ark City Kansas...would be a good time to check it out and get some footage!
I always wanted a GTO when I was younger but I think 2000 was finally the year I got my first one. I bought the one this engine is for in 2006...love these old A-Bodies! I have had MANY 77-78 Trans Ams...
@GilliamFarms So a 10 sec 1/4 approx . Maybe another carburetor . Take a PEEP on RUclips of Gary Williams Carburetors in the USA 🇺🇸 He's an old time ⏲️ Drag Racer 🏁 Pretty sure he could give u some more Keep up the Gr8 👍 work down the drag strip . Enjoy the Farm 🚜 Clips God bless Robert Australia 🇦🇺
A car that runs 5.7X to the 1/8th is quite a bit quicker than a 10 second pass...you can’t just 1/2 it and think you know how fast it will be in the 1/4. FWIW it runs low 9.0 at a bit over 150 so I am still car limited with no parachute (parachute rule is 150 mph)...I appreciate the responses about the carburetor but in all actuality I am already where I want to be...
Northeast Oklahoma, sometimes Tulsa, Centerville Arkansas, maybe Mokan. I was at Norwalk in 2021 with it in slightly less HP mode...videos of a couple passes in my channel. Thank you!
Just sent his name thru 4U . God Bless & give him a call 📞 He makes this Billet Carburettor that's between a 4150 & 4500 that's called the X Carburettor . Awesome Piece of Bling 😅
Great video, how do you like the Stefs oil pan. is it good quality and should I use it on my 1970 GTO 400cid. will it hold up to normal street use and not crack?
The Carburettors are built by " Gary Williams Carburetors " He's in2 Big Effort Engines Drag Racing 🏁 Pretty sure he can give U an Xtra 20/40 HP & more TQ . A real icon & gentleman . 👏

I do have that...she bought my helmet and race suit because she wants to keep me around...the rest has been dozer work and brushhogging.

I really like the pan. I would think as long as it’s not smacking the pavement it should work well for street!
