I am amazed that people can recognize tiny details like the foreman ovale or see where the ventricles are in the brain. Especially in real time with a wiggley baby!

How did it go? My wife is pregnant with her first at 45. She was told since her early 20s she could not have children, so I guess this is definitely a miracle baby. We just went for our exam like this and mostly all seems well. We found out we're having a boy too. :-)

while doing ultrasound while pregnant its shows baby intracardiac echogenic focus measuring 3.9mm is noted in the superior aspect of intra ventricular septum

At my 20 week anatomy scan I specifically asked the dr (mfm) if my bladder needed to be full and he said no, we dont go by that anymore. So I don't know if some drs are using older technology or what, but I believe needing a full bladder is old practice.
You only need a full bladder when they are trying to image your cervix over the top of your pelvic. Otherwise, it is not needed.

I’m a soon to be daddy & I do feel some type of way when I think about being a family with my woman & our baby, it’s a beautiful feeling & I can only imagine when I actually hold him or her, we’re actually finding out the gender in 2 days on Friday whooop, I want a girl but I do feel it’s gonna be a boy now from ultrasound & baby having a big head because so do I lol. Hi what does the date mean ag the top right of the ultra scan (it's further than the date taken)
Ultrasound is not 100% accurate. That is why we take so many measurements throughout the scan. At the end of the exam, the ultrasound system averages out the measurements taken and gives us a pretty good estimate as to how much the baby is weighing and how big it is.

Do we know about baby that is boy or girl in 3 month pregnancy
Blood test for sure. Ultrasound.. Depends on your tech. 13/14 weeks and up is more accurate. But gender isn't important. For ultrasound- we look at health of the fetus as priority.

@@crtchanel274 I wouldn't worry about what type. Around 14-16 weeks you should be able to see the gender on the ultrasound. If you want to know, tell the doctor, they will do what it takes to tell you as soon as that is possible.

you cannot tell for sure by baby's heart rate. my baby moves alot during the my 1 ultrasound scan 1st heart rate was 128 they check it again and its 140 both normal numbers

I would wait until later in pregnancy, they tried to do a 3d ultrasound on me at 17 weeks and it didn't work very well. They're still so small and with not having any fat on them it looks a lot like an alien honestly lol. That's when u can actually get a decent picture with 3d that early. With me they had a problem with the placenta in the way. Not sure what the difference between 3d and 4d is with the ultrasound tho.
4D is just a 3D video. But they're both technically 3D.
I had a complete early miscarriage first baby so no d and c. With second early pregnancy around 11 weeks at the ultrasound babys heart had stopped beating and was just there in its sackand wasnt the size it should of been. I had to have a d and c in a Victorian like hospital awful. I wasnt taken down until 10pm and I was so thirsty! The third early pregnancy the sac was there but there was no baby! I had a d and c but I still had signs of miscarriage ie parts of tissue hanging out and eventually had a big very bleed leading to a second d and c for the same pregnancy. I was put on intravenous antibiotics but the hospital had no drip so came every few hours to inject it. I was in my own room but I could hear the babys crying in other rooms. It was scary as I had bleeding and it was all over the sheets. I asked for a big square pad to lie on. My next pregnancy I had a bleed at 6 weeks and my GP told me I had miscarried again and to go away and live my life!! I was very slim but over weeks I was finding my skirts needed undoing so I did a pregnancy test and it was positive! I went to GP who felt my stomach and asked if I had been scanned for it. I said no and he said you are about 20 weeks pregnant and need emergency scan. I went for the scan and the lady asked me to come back for another one. It turned out the skin on back of babys neck was bigger than it should of been so they did an amneo to check for downs syndrome. It was negative so we were pleased our baby seemed healthy as possible. The Consultant when I asked said there shouldnt be any other problems. At around 30 weeks I went for a check up and mentioned baby wanst moving so much and they admitted me for a week as there was hardly any fluid and I think they thought I would give birth. I was sent home eventually and was booked for a section as babys growth was slow and they said a dry birth would be difficult and the baby might die if I tried. So around 35 weeks I had a section. We were told congratulations you have a boy and he was taken to SCBU and me back to the hospital room. I eventually went to see him and was told he had clubbed feet, a curved spine and his hands were misshapen etc and I felt like I had created a small monster that I had not right to do as I thought it was suffering. They put him on a cushion on my knee as his breathing was ok and I instantly fell in love with him and bonded right away. I fed him my own milk via expressing, did his nappies, did his meds, bathed him etc. We were told he would die and that his kidneys were not formed. We were told in 1995 he needed to be 9lb to be given dialysis and he wouldnt grow because he was ill. So at 5 weeks we took him home to be with us and after around a week he passed away in my arms. Devestating does not describe this. After a year we tried again and I got pregnant with our dd. I was very very sick all day and night but had been with our little son. I felt great all pregnancy after this had gone. We had a planned section. I went down early to theatre and heard the consultants assistant ask should this be happening ...... then loads of staff came running in. I was bleeding. They put lots of tubes of blood into me and were squeezing the bags. I was lying there listening to what was happening and the surgeons massaging my womb to try and save it and they took it out still attached to mess. I was literally there 5 hours with my insides being handled. At one point they stitched me back up complete then I bled again and they had to do the emergency hysterectomy. So no more babies. We have our daughter who is the light of our lives. Sorry for such a long story but any reasons why this might of happened would be good.

No. Out of all of the countless studies that have been done, none have proven that it has any effect on the babies' health or wellbeing.

cool how the fetal sonogram doesn’t produce any signs of what the baby’s color is going to be in the future.wether is bright yellow, chestnut, bisque, cerulean, or white vs black, its only human beings that set the world back to 80 million years ago.. when we were yam farmers.
Did you know Cambodian folks do not even celebrate their birthdays and this says a lot of their belief system. I think we should encourage this in our society when it comes to colour, gender basis or racism.
