Can only use fruits
Ignore pre-planted plants
Skip levels that can't be completed with fruits (e.g. conveyor belt levels)
No leveling up plants

Fun Fact: pepper-pult and jalapeno can be used in this challenge as all peppers are fruits due to having seeds
also pea shooters variants(there are botanically fruit, they grow from flowers and have seeds in them)
@@joespheroid2859 just looked it up and you're right, which means all peashooter variants can be used in the fruit challenge, however IF they'll be used depends on the knowledge of the one doing the fruit challenge

Well biologically speaking, all plants that have seeds and comes from a flower is a fruit so he really has a huge variety of plants to use in this challenge

Might have to check that out later, and yws i have seen a few peashooter only ones too but peashooter only is actually a much older challenge than the original "nut only" challengr that started the trend and i couldnt find any peashooter only challenges that used the usual thumbnail that the other videos used so i wasnt sure if it was inspired or not, i know thst might sound like a stupid reason but the way i see it is basically kinda like fnaf, Not all animatronic horror games are inspired by or based on fnaf, so without any clear connections or proof its kinda hard to tell sometimes if it was inspired or its just a coicidence, but eh i might also just be overly cautious sometimes!

I love how people act like optional features "ruined the game" and pretend that choosing to level plants *somehow REQUIRES* maxing them out or buying something
it's totally not an extremely infuriating take that exclusively comes from people who clearly don't understand PlantLevelling and refuse to accept you don't have to max out anything if you don't want to because he majority of plants are pretty much fine at level 1 and the OPTIONAL levelup system is intended to add a layer of depth to Battlez and give certain plants unique abilities and add variety to every player's playthrough by adding a legitimately interesting layer of luck to the progression that can be opted out of. Optionally.
Did I mention it's an optional system that you're not required to engage with or spend money on if you do engage with it?
Get your point that is doesn't make the game just unplayable now but i do think it does ruin the game abit like it ruins the balance of getting new plants and power creep. I just dont think it should have been a thing to began with

They are fruits, but not fruits. This is because the english language uses the same word for two different, but similar things. Fruit can be the thing where it is the opposite to vegetable, or it can be the edible part of a plant. All fruits are fruits, but not all fruits are fruits

So basically yes.
In the PvZ universe, the nuts are separated from the fruits, as it is in its own classification (however, any coconuts are classified as a Fruit Nut in said universe). Also Berries, Bananas, Squashes, Corns and Peppers (yes the latter three are confirmed to be fruits) are separated from Fruit (for Berries and Bananas, it's mainly because there are Berry Plants that benefit the Berries as a whole).

You said you wouldn’t be able to use sunflowers, however there’s an interesting thought if you use seedium plants/hack in seediums. The idea of Solar Tomato could be an idea (cuz Tomato’s are a fruit after all)

The fruit taxonomy is pretty fricking huge. Dry fruit like nuts, reeds (i think). Fleshy fruit like peas, corn, bean. It’s a lot of things. If it’s edible & it’s not a vegetable [stalk, leaf, or root] or fungus, its probably a fruit.
Um actually peas are botanically classified as fruits since they grow out of flowers 🤓 🤓

This seems like a good challenge and id love to see more, but i feel maybe sunflowers should be allowed.
I think pvz2 with only beans would be harder,chilli bean is a single use instakill-staller plant,spring bean is only useful in pirate seas,sun bean is the only sun producer tho he has long recharge (btw effect of multiple sun beans can stack),zoybean pod's zomboids are weak,lazer bean is the only long range attacker tho he is expensive and bean sprout is expansive wall-attacker plant
