Nice looking corsa, iv got a 14 plate ltd edition, gonna get the ram air induction kit also stage 2 map, should be running 110 bhp once complete. I’m looking forward to getting it done.👍
Do you recommend this one does it make much difference to performance? I'm looking at getting a new filter for my dirt bike to replace the standard cone one and seen they have these in smaller sizes for motorbikes i want something better than the one i have already got on my bike.
Random question, I'm new to the mod scene and looking to mod my 09 Corsa but I'm struggling to find the right insurance provider which is affordable. Adrian Flux quoted me nearly £6k (I'm nearly 30 years old) and the car is currently stock and valued at about £1k. Unless I'm in for a huge surprise I feel like its quite a steep price. Any suggestions or examples on how much people pay?
it helps with fuel economy. it wont do anything for it if you don't retune your car afterwards, but you end up with a better fuel/air ratio and more power for the same amount of fuel. if you don't tune your injectors (or turbo, depending on the car) afterwards you can actually decrease your bhp because you'll be getting more air than is necessary for the amount of fuel your injecting.
That's the general myth yes. It now sucks in HOT air from the engine bay instead of the COOL air the box brings in from the outside. Sports filters don't filter as well as the stock ones, so the air is dirtier, bad. Everyone's fooling themselves. A stock engine is NOT a racing engine, those are completely different and used in different circumstances as well. Sound means absolutely nothing. But, if you're happy with it and think it does something it's money well spent.
I truly don’t understand the hate these cars get. I picked up a DTH as my first car and it has been excellent. The body had been neglected but mechanically very strong until a few days ago. It started struggling to start which I figured was the weather or an old battery. Didn’t do anything as it was still taking me to work and accelerating fine. Then the other night it started making a strange high pitched squealing noise directly linked to the throttle. When I got back I realised the garden smelt really bad. If I’m fortunate it’s a leaking injector washer. But given the fact it needs a body restoration job it the engine has a serious issue like a cracked manifold I’ll be forced to replace the car 😔 It’s fun to drive and unbelievably cheap to fuel. Earlier in the year I did over 220 miles for about £23 and I don’t hang around. If it dies I will do my utmost to buy a VXR👍 P.S. keep an eye on your wheel arches. The bumper will hit the quarter panel due to poor fitting and strip the paint. Use a bit of sellotape to protect the quarter panel and it’ll stay rust free for many years 🙂
probably because you removed the mass air flow sensor as long as the sensor is before the intake it will be fine but if you have to remove the sensor to take the pipe off it will flag the eml light
The stock system efficiently inducts cool external air into an airbox, that's insulated from engine bay heat, so we rip it out, and proceed to then suck in hot air directly from the top of the engine. Without exception, these ridiculous induction mods, reduce performance, and increase fuel consumption, not to mention that annoying little check engine light. . . "Brmmmm brrmmm".
absolute sick vid mate you showed me how to do everything in detail unlike other youtubers seriously appreciate mate
Love that you noticed bro I had the same issue as you so I thought I’d make everyone else’s lives easier 😅 thanks for the support man 👌

Hello, i m considering kinda doing the same. How s your car now? Is it worth it?

Have you ever experienced any issues with MAF errors? Whilst using a cone air filter as it seemingly sucks in a lot of hot air from the engine
corsa have a hot air intake and not a cold air intake so makes no difference

Does this work with Corsa E?
It does increase bhp but does not help save fuel as your car is performing more

Just make cold air feed pipe straight in to the standard airbox with a ram air replacement filter no warm air
so its the same as installing a cold air intake?
Cool looking car. But very underpowered!!

Will I have any trouble putting this on my turbo diesel corsa e 2016
I honestly couldn’t tell you mate it just says on there website for Corsa d 2006-2014 but regards to the E I wouldn’t know
A complete waste of time and money.
I gotta do this to my corsa E now haha
Grate video thanks
I got a engine light from putting on one Wht so I do🤣

@@TOMREES4 nah I didn’t remove anything but the actual air filter
What wheels are them?
Did the car run better or worse? Liking what you've done to it by the way. Top work
It seems to run a lot better and smoother now from before I definitely recommend doing this and thanks for the support appreciate it 🔥
Hi will this fit Vauxhall zafira Sri
How much will this effect insurance ?
It shouldn't under modified insurance. Normal insurance varies but won't be much if anything.
Mate I can’t even begin to explain how hard it was to get that bolt off under the filter. Gave up in the end
Yeah there way to tight bro 😂
@@yt_brandonemBEMbro it’s been 4 days since I got it I still can’t get it off 😅
@@M19TMS have you tried spraying any wd40 onto the bolt to loosen it off ?
@@M19TMS or just leave that part and zip tie it up to something to support the thing from shaking 😂😂

Our cars are very similar
Don’t see difference
Corsa are so slow
