Great video. Thanks for posting. I’ve just started looking at the the iNet X unit. I have the Truma CP with the additional iNet unit. I believe that Truma have discontinued the iNet box citing component supply issues. I am surprised that the new or replacement unit doesn’t have wi fi connectivity as the Bluetooth is limiting in its range. Aesthetically the new unit is much better than the now dated looking CP panel and I am surprised that Truma don’t supply a cosmetic frame to go around the new unit if customer are updating to the new iNet X control panel. The thing I don’t like about the existing iNet box is that it is constantly flashing a red light as I don’t have a SIM card in it and I have disconnected it over the winter to avoid any battery drain. Thanks again for posting 😎👍
Ah thanks. Yeah I was shocked it didn’t have it. I’ve just been to scotland and being able to change the temp via bluetooth from the bed or driving seat has been incredibly handy. I just hope a module comes out soon fir the wifi.
Great video upgraded our Truma control panel (it took two of us as swmbo deemed it necessary to be involved) . Your video made it easier as you covered the quirky bits Keep up the good work
The inet x doesn't currently support the smaller iNet enabled 2E Combi boilers, as i discovered after purchasing an inet x panel. I emailed Truma to enquire when they will make them compatible.
Great video thanks for sharing. The Truma website asks if you want to control from the ski slopes I guess this will be a future update possibly connecting to a Wi-Fi unit. My plan is to upgrade from the CP PLUS panel because it’s hopeless at retaining the time and the timer is useless
Yeah this is way better for me. I’m due to do a follow up video as it’s been really good. Defo wifi would be the way. The thing is as you walk back to the van you can use the bluetooth and turn it on. by the time you have took your gear off etc and got sorted in the van your van is warming up. One thing I wish it had was the temp lower down to 1 degree to prevent freezing pipes. the lowest it goes is 5 degrees.
@@ahoyleisure I watched a video from last years motorhome and caravan show with Motorhome Matt Truma had just released the iNet X panel. Matt asked if it could be remotely accessible like the old iNet using a sim. The Truma person said it will be a future update. I guess the problem will be another box to connect which would probably cost another £200. I’ve also read one of the reasons they dropped the sim connection because of 2g and 3G being switched off. Not sure about that surely you can texts on 4g?
@@micksparrow8214 I think the way it’s built is to be modular so things can be added on. you can see that in the device list. I expected more things to come out about it. I could easily see a 3g carrier being added in either wired or bluetooth fir simple things like temp readings, on off, temp change etc the same as the old add on with the CP Plus. Would be interesting to follow up with Truma and see what the plans are.
Easy Tom. Awww thanks. It’s not my best video from a production pov but it gets the point across. We’ve just got back from Scotland last week and it was brilliant in use. Once they bring out a wifi module it’s the complete package.
Great video - I am thinking of replacing the existing panel in my caravan and it’s great to see what it would involve. I have inet today and I understand one of the reasons it’s gone is the withdrawal of the 2G band used for SMS messaging. I think we currently have a stay of execution in the UK but I think it’s going in other countries which removes the remote access to the device. A Wi-Fi module would make a lot more sense as my van always has Wi-Fi when I’m using it. Have to admit my main use case is waking up on cold mornings and turning the heating up.
Thanks. The more we have had it the more I prefer it. just being able to adjust it from bed or turn off just before driving is a big plus. It’s also way better for cancelling errors etc.
I've just bought one of these, thinking I was getting the old iNet box with a sim card slot. This is the only video out there at the minute making sense as I didn't receive any instructions with it, which is frustrating as I'm having to email the people I bought it off. Not ideal really as I've also bought the gas bottle untrasound level indicator and there's no instructions on how to connect that either. So it's gonna take loads of time and head scratching. Good video pal.
Awww thanks. it was a bit long winded but i’ve only just started on youtube and still learning. As you say there was very little on it. The bluetooth has been really handy in our Scotland trip this winter.
Hi, I would like to do the same, so if you discover how to connect the Truma gas level to the iNet X panel please I would really appreciate notes. Thanks in advance
I asked chatgpt this question and got the filling result: Yes, you can connect the Truma LevelControl system to the Truma iNet system, which allows you to monitor your propane gas levels in real-time from your Truma iNet X panel or mobile device. To connect the Truma LevelControl system, you will need to follow these steps: 1. Install the Truma LevelControl system: You will need to install the Truma LevelControl system in your propane gas tank. The LevelControl system includes a sensor that measures the propane gas levels and transmits the data to the iNet system. 2. Connect the LevelControl system to the iNet system: Once you have installed the LevelControl system, you can connect it to the iNet system by following the instructions in the user manual. The LevelControl system will automatically detect and connect to the iNet system once it is within range. 3. Pair the LevelControl system with the Truma app: To monitor your propane gas levels from your mobile device, you will need to pair the LevelControl system with the Truma app. Follow the instructions in the app to pair the LevelControl system. 4. Monitor your propane gas levels: Once you have paired the LevelControl system with the Truma app, you can monitor your propane gas levels in real-time from your Truma iNet X panel or mobile device. The app will also send you alerts when your propane gas levels are low, so you can refill your tank before it runs out. Overall, the Truma LevelControl system is a convenient and easy-to-use system that allows you to monitor your propane gas levels from your Truma iNet system. By connecting the LevelControl system to your iNet system, you can ensure that you always have enough propane gas for your motorhome appliances.
I’m not sure. Take a look at the INET X PRO its only available to manufactures but it does have a more open ability to link with more things. Including the TRUMA gas level and water level products.
I’m not sure. My gut feel is yes based on the settings available and the way they designed it. Check in the Truma they are usually pretty good at support.
i have truma ac and it does connect. only available on hookup as power surge on startup is too much and power drain on battery too great. i have inet box and the ability to sms is great. it sends me texts if temp inside reaches too hot or too cold and i can sms it to turn the heater or ac on when coming back from a walk or pub.

Hi great video do you no if the inet x will work on Aldi system that I have in my caravan 👍

Can this be used for all TRUMA air conditioners? I have a new trailer, which did not come with the iNET CONTROL. Only with remote control.
