Rose of No Man’s Land is a good green / refreshing Rose too. Not overly complex but that’s the beauty of it - good for a signature scent.
Ok I can't hold it back anymore, I'm buying the frederic malle sample set. I can't live in this world without knowing what portrait of a lady smells like, but I'm scared to fall in love 😩💸
I gave in last week 😂. Portrait of a lady smelled in similar lines of Nina Ricci l'xtase or lancome midnight rose... It's definitely Jammy and spicy. But much more natural and well blended than the other two I mentioned

This is the video I’ve needed. You’ve introduced me to some new scents for my list. Rose Millesimee is my current obsession followed by Jovoy’s Rouge Assassin.
A very popular rose scent in the middle east, mostly in the 80s, was Tea Rose. The original perfume smelled exactly like a rose and it was worn by both women and men.
A girlfriend of mine wore Tea Rose from Perfumer's Workshop. I liked it then but it may be a little sweet for my more mature nose.

@@keithbaker5932 It’s not a sweet fragrance. It’s a fresh green floral that smells almost photorealistically like a dry tea rose bud with dewy leaves and stem.

My favorite note is Rose. I love it in perfumes. I love how beautifully jammy, spicy and green Lyric Man is. My husband bought it and doesn't wear it but I wear it myself and I'm in love with this rose. No other rose comes close but there are many others I love. Great video.

My mom wore Tea Rose and ever since I'm really into roses. I am looking for a spicy rose. The Rose 31 sounds so good to me but I like it jammy as well.

I do enjoy some masculine rose scents. A Lhomme Rose MFK is great. I need to check out the Rose & Cuirs.
Portrait Of A Lady is the best. I can't get enough of it. I'm on my third bottle and it's one of the only scents I wear.
I love rosey perfumes Sebastian. I really love Lyric Woman and I have been able to get my husband to wear Lyric Man. POAL and Une Rose are also great. And I should check out the other Une Rose you mention from obvious. Great video. Thank you.

I had a chance to visit F&M in London over the weekend and ended up buying Saffron Rose by Grossmith - a nice warm rose that's mildly spicy with oud, tobacco and a touch of castoreum. Perfumers Workshop is a great inexpensive green rose I like using from time to time too (whole plant with roots and all!) Cheers.
I've had 100s of different perfume roses, but so far - Amouage Lyric Woman is the queen of them all: spicy, decaying velvet bordeaux rose

At last I understand it, thank you! For me dry and spicy rose and jammy are my favorites, not a big fan of the green rose but I can wear it. I like rose in general and POAL is one of my top fragrances, it's always funny to see the reaction of people to it, you smell like a million bucks!!!

I will give Lyric Man a try. Portrait of a Lady is so gorgeous, it smells like chopped roses including the stems. A little like the smell in a rose greenhouse.

Ambre Nuit. The rose is so light to me, but those rare occasions when I pick it up is nice.

Toy Boy worked pretty good for me, my girlfriend loved it on me, Lyric man is still my favorite rose

I hated rose fragrances at first but boy I love rose oud combos now. My favorite is Guerlain Santal Royal followed by oud bouquet style scents especially Arabian Oud Resala.
Nice job. I was turned off by rose early in my journey but slowly got into it. The absolute BEST rose i have ever smelled, and one that's in my collection, is by Bvlgari's Le Gemme line of fragrances: Garanat. In fact this is the only rose, I've smelled, that is pure masculine and yet full on rose. It's what Lyric Man aspired to be, imo. Have you smelled it? and if so, what are your thoughts on? Thanks!

Lately I’ve been loving Eau de Protection from ELDO. I didn’t really think I liked rose much before trying it.
I only love rose for myself now when it's in the background. I overdid D&G Rose The One/Stella by Stella Mccartney/YSL Babydoll in my 20s and it feels like trying to wear shoes that don't fit now when the rose is too loud. Luckily I still enjoy it on other people and sniffing the bottles is an ultimate dose of nostalgia 🗡🥀 Slow explosions does sound awesome though!
Think Royal Mayfair is the ultimate green rose for me, it's often overlooked becuase of the eucalyptus note, but to me it's a clear, crisp and green rose scent in at the core of it's DNA. Good list though, really enjoyed it and rose is my favourite note in perfumery.
Rose is tough for me but some of these sounds great for me.
I will not wear fragrance unless there are rose notes!!! How can it get better than rose? 🌹 Lipstick Rose / Frederic Malle is my everyday go to and I also LOVE Portrait of a Lady or Promise for a night out. Would Lipstick Rose be in the jammy rose category? Thank you for your lovely videos! ♥️❤️♥️

One of my favorite roses is Kashan Rose by The Different Company.
I really like Spirit Dubai Fakhama and Odyon Scorpion Intense. Fakhama is sweeter oud and rose. Odyon is deeper (likable) oud with a perfect blend of rose
I always thought that I did not like rose until I realized that of about 20 fragrances, 3 have promiment rose notes including Midnight Poison, Rose of No Man's Land and Good Girl Gone Bad. Really interested in trying POAL or Une Rose soon.

Lyric man and also lyric woman from amouage and rose de taif the extrait from perris monte carlo are my favorite rose frags as a man. Although rojas aoud has a beautiful rose note hidden behind the oud. And yes as a man i can wear rose sometimes but i have to be in the mood. It isnt an everyday thing for me.

Intense Cafe = Jammy/Milky
Noir De Noir = Earthy but also Spicy and perhaps Jammy as well as I remember it being syrup/jammy! :)
it is true that to create a jammy rose you use a chord, since rose absolutes lose their jammy and turn green when they are made?

Thank you very much for your video. I'm really looking for dark or bousy rose accord like Tom Ford Noir de Noir. I don't know how you would call it. I'm saying that because dark flagrance is always used for incense perfume rather. For me the accord rose/patchouli is certainly darken the initial freshier nature of rose. Same for the rose/oud accord which I found often less successfull because of the heavier presence of oud. But the idea of a dark rose is growing on me a lot. I think a lot of man and women as well are liking more and more deep flagrance like Vanille Havane from Les Indémodables, 1740 from Histoire de Parfum, Tom Ford Noir de Noir and Tabaco Vanille. I would like to find more flagrance in that category and also some with a darken rose accord. From your video, I prefer Rose Capitale from Dyptique to Portait of a Lady because the rose is less sugary. So Jamy rose on the Dyptique... but so much less sugary than POTL which with the woodiness on the dry is more suitable for a man for me. Do you have some recommendation on the bests darken rose, rose/patchouli accord, bouzy flagrance (like Vanille Havane, 1740, TF Noir de Noir ect...)? Thanks a lot !

I love a jammy rose, really like a spicy rose, but green fresh rose is just ok
One I really find to be quite nice is “toy boy” moschino, goes spicy rose and I find it quite unisex, despite being targeted to males it definitely doesn’t feel feminine to me.
Witch categories does a Soapy rose fragrance fall under..trying to stay from that type of rose..??
I've seen on Pawn Stars the George Washington would wear pink colored suites. Thus I surmise that he would have had no qualms with wearing a Rose fragrance.

No I didn't feature it in this video because it's male targeted and certainly Masculine. You will not like it if that is what you like because as stated in my video I find Lyric to be ultra jammy. I say wear with caution sample first. But if you love Rose then by all means wear it. It's very Jammy, Spicy and Green! :)

I love Portrait of a Lady, Lyric does not work on me. It smells so powdery old lady to me. Must be my skin/nose. I was very disappointed, because I thought it would totally be my cup of tea when I saw/read reviews.

Try Rose Magnetic or You Or Someone Like You. The latter is more mint and rose though. The former less mint and more rose! :)

There is Dior‘s Midnight Poison though it is discontinued, a cold minty rose, but you might still be able to get it.
I heard that the extrait and edp version of Perris Monte Carlo is quite different, there's a huge difference in the quality of material used
If men honestly think they can't wear rose I have only one thing to say GET OVER YOURSELF! Rose is by far one of the best notes in perfumery.

I’m looking for a fragrance that has a sweet fruity top with a nice floral soft middle and a vanilla bottom. Do you have any suggestions for what I could purchase???? Judging by your description , Delina would be a good fit because it has lychee and rhubarb opening, Rose and Peony middle and vanilla, musky base. Or Atomic Rose - it basically smells like Delina at the beginning and dries down to Intense Café.
