She was absolutely on it from the beginning to the end of the match and I think going through what she did at Stanford gave her much confidence and the rest of the field better watch out.
Has everyone noticed that when Serena Williams is playing at her highest level "like in this"match, there's hardly any articles written about her? Media must truly dislike her and only like it when she is faltering!!! Sad but true.. I went to ESPN which normally write all the negative stuff, thinking they would have spoke of her fab match above(Because they swear up and down they are not against her), only to find a small article beneath another headline. Shame, Shame, Shame on them all. Are they really this jealous of Serena's Abilities?
People always hate on the great and the media prefers the Serena staring someone down or being 'aggressive'. Not much about Venus taking down Kerber in the match of the year. I do not think it is just jealousy of her abilities, clearly other shadiness involved which is so obvious but anyway as Caroline said 'Serena is ruling the court'.
You are so right my friend. Today her Big sis ruled the court and SW tweeted later big sis taught her a valuable lesson by beating her:). They love each other much and that match was awesome.. Good to see Venus back in form after all the health struggles.. Of course, SW was not at her highest form in sets 2&3 but it's ok. Hopefully she will win Cincinnati next week to gain more confidence for the U.S Open:-)
Ms Giles Yes great to See Vee back ruling that court like back in the day. I know SJW is not too upset by this loss. She prefers to be schooled by Venus than others despite the difficulty of playing each other. I hope Venus can now shut Montreal down. That would be Perfecto!!
For sure SJW would have shutdown the final.. I think Venus can do it too. Her form is good enough to deal with Radwanska. Venus has really rounded into great shape and played a lot of 3 setters without too much fatigue.Serena and Venus in the USO final could happen.
Billie Mason What we witness today from SW was the pressures of her trying to achieve more History on her Shoulders which was winning all 4 Grand Slams in a Row within the same year. Do not be alarmed. Serena Williams, who I consider the greatest of all times could beat this opponent with her hands tied behind her back on a normal day, however today was not normal for SW. She was in her own head about the fact of what a lost of this history beyond the lost of the match would mean and could not remove that thought from her head to play her best Tennis. I know that God will Bless her to know that it just means this was meant to be on her journey "Right Now". Even with her lost, I salute her for her excellent approach to trying to achieve this latest feat. And I know she will get more GS in the near future. Especially now she has not pressure on her shoulders because she is The Greatest of all time "To Me":-)

I love that this highlights reel is nearly as long as the match itself was.
Thanks and come again soon for more Serena highlights:-)

amen:-)!!! Well said.. She needs to win this being she removed her Sister, who I believed, if she made it to the finals would have certainly won:-)

I think she is going to take this lost very hard
Serena-WOW!
Serena is just so good it hurts. Pity it is not a bodybuilding or strong woman content, as that is the only way Sam will beat Serena every time.
The music is unnecessary and the beat doesn't fit with the flow of the match.
