The Talion is so under rated, cant wait to see what it can do at Paddlesworth long jump, also need the weather to improve, always wet so can never get full power down for the jumps 😥
@@HardcoreRC yeah will be interesting to see it in optimal conditions. I've been out today but lost drive intermittently. Installed a new 20kg servo but seems really slow. When you move the wheels with the power off it feels like in going to break the servo. It's so tight. Any ideas? Will strip it all down but my servos are always tight.
@@donuttime2507 Umm hard to say really without seeing it, with the servo horn disconnected do the wheels turn freely ? if not then you likely have something binding in the steering. What servo are you using ?
@@HardcoreRC without the servo connected the wheels turn really well. Picked up a red and black 20kg servo off Amazon for 20 quid. Not sure the brand. Will need to strip it down but does seem tight and a little slow when connected compared to the stock servo.

You likely saw it on Kevin Talbots and Claire's RC channels who we also go out with, wouldnt say it super popular just handy as it its very close to an RC track and isnt normally full of people, plus you can get big sends 😂, hope your new diff oil turns up soon so you can get out ripping 😂😂

Great vid as always, was thinking it would be a good test to see if it would get a faster top speed if you remove the rear wing ? Before and after. Could be interesting.
Agreed 😊 the wing is important I think. Removing the wing is what I was thinking to increase the speed before the nose lifts. I hope HardcoreRC tries it lol 😊

@HardcoreRC I would say, think of it like (in a real car) driving down a motorway with a sofa on the roof trying to get max speed. Move the sofa forward or backward won't help. Try sticking the gopro inside or underneath the front bumper? 😊 Also have dropped the height as low as possible?
@@bradjrc196 Could do, but these tires really dont like going to fast to many times - the foams move inside, already killed a set. This was more to see what sort of speed would could get vs the 1650kv motor on our other EXB
We did another video on the set up, but its a Hobbywing Max6 with 1100kv 5687 motor. You will need another motor mount as the motor doesn't fit in the stock mount - mount from either PPS or MMM
@HardcoreRC What were/are the batteries you've used in this car? Looks like whatever they are, they can take a beating! If you can't recall, could you at least recommend me a good 8S set that'll fit in there like they do on that car? (I'm aware that it's been modded with the Mojave chassis since; I'm more interested in fitting good batteries into the available space on the stock EXB chassis..) Thanks in advance!

Wow amazing! That must be really heavy. It could still jump that high and not break. Btw I also ran my stock kraton exb with max6 + 1650kv on 8s. I got 67mph (108kph) as well!
It is quick heavy, but still jumps very well, be interesting to see how it jumps next to our 1650kv EXB, have some smaller lighter 4s packs coming as well so can put both on 8s 😲🚀🚀 nice runs you did as well 👍👍

Ok I finally got me a kraton 8s lol I know I really never thought I would I got a max 5 800kv so what would be better the 800kv or I got a 1100kv hobbywing on the side what would be better faster
Nice, you will love it, watch the shocks though. From what i have been told by Martyn the 1100kv is the better motor for bashing, toe 800kv needs to be 1:1 gearing from what i understand. Martyn is the best person to ask on this though
Got the pinion from RW racing: www.rwracing.co.uk/product/cnc-1-module-steel-pinions-8mm-bore doesnt look like they have the 32 tooth in stock at the moment though, its 8s version 1100kv so 8mm shaft

@@callyakn718 I would be careful going to low on the pinion as understand this transfer more torque quicker to the diffs - might be better to just turn the throttle down on your transmitter. These car can only go so fast before tires need to be changed, the tires are really the limiting factor on tarmac

Yes we used the PPS mount, but then ended up bending that twice due to weight of the motor and bashing, then changed to the MMM mount, but in the end changed the motor to the 1275kv Spektrum one as the Hobbywing one is just so damn heavy

Did you find is difficult to get the motor bullets into the max 6? It seems to require a lot of force to push the bullet into the esc.
Yes i have always found it needs a fair bit for wiggling to get the bullets in and out of the esc

Nose stays down on tarmac, but lifts at around 58mph on grass currently, should do better once the weather warms up and grass is dryer and harder.

I’ve recorded 62.2mph on tarmac with a 19t 1650kv

It does run on 6s, just not as much power, if you just want to run 6s then would suggest the 1650kv motor
